Days Inn by Wyndham Suites Fredericksburg

Unfortunately, our recent stay at this hotel was highly disappointing due to both the condition of the property and the behavior of the staff. Upon arrival, our reservation was not honored correctly. We had booked and paid for a room with two queen beds, but were given a room with a single king bed instead. When we brought this to the attention of management, a female staff member informed us that receiving the room we originally booked would require an additional $20 per night—despite our confirmation stating otherwise. Once we were given the keys to the first room, it was immediately clear that the room had not been properly cleaned. The sheets had an unpleasant odor and contained multiple hairs, the trash cans had not been emptied, and the previous guest had left cooking supplies behind. After some back and forth, a male staff member allowed us to view a different room with the same layout. At first glance, it appeared to be an improvement, so we agreed to move. Unfortunately, this second room was also in poor condition. The pull-out couch and mattress were visibly stained, the extra sheet set provided was also stained and contained hairs, the floors had not been cleaned, and both the microwave and refrigerator were dirty. To make matters worse, we found roaches in the room. When we raised these concerns with the male manager, he responded with hostility—accusing us of lying, calling us "difficult," and demanding that we vacate the room by the next morning. As we were visiting from out of town and it was already late, we reluctantly decided to stay for the night. In hindsight, we should have left immediately. This experience highlighted a severe lack of professionalism and basic cleanliness standards. The property would benefit greatly from hiring trained housekeeping staff rather than relying on untrained family members. Additionally, the staff would benefit from training in customer service and conflict resolution. It is disappointing to see the Wyndham name associated with this location, and I strongly encourage the brand to re-evaluate its affiliation.

I stayed at the Days Inn in Fredericksburg, Texas the last 2 nights. I have been working on the Kerrville Texas flood recovery . Last night I was asleep and around 10:45pm. I was woke up by someone coming in my door. A man opened my door and came in my room. When he walked in, I sat up in bed and said “what the F____”. He looked at me surprised and walked out . I jumped up and put on my cloths and went to the door. The Man was walking to the front counter area of the hotel. He had to have had a key card because, I know that I shut the door all the way. The door did not have a manual lock (there were screw holes on the door were one used to be) . When I talked to the lady at the front desk about it she said she would get with the manager and pull the cameras and he would call me when done. She acted like it was no big deal. At this point at 4:35pm the manager has still not called me. I called the front desk and the Man who answered said that the manager was busy and will need to call me tomorrow . I don’t know how your franchise agreements are, but the management in this hotel has no sense of urgency when it comes to security and is giving your brand a bad name.

I would have given the hotel a five if it hadn’t been for the parking… If you have any trailer at all, regardless of the size, there is no parking… and there’s literally one parking spot per room so it’s not like you can park across six spots with a trailer… Besides that the room was excellent… Everything was very clean… I completely enjoyed my stay… Excellent bed excellent water pressure And a very good location…

When we arrived there were kids skateboarding right outside our door. We complained

It was an average stay. The beds were comfortable. No elevator. We had upstairs, I have a bad knee so uggh on that.

First impression: the lobby at check-in was warm and had an unpleasant smell. I immediately decided not to have breakfast there the next morning. The only fault I found with the room was that my AC unit and those of my neighbors were very loud. It was hard to sleep with them all cycling through the night. Otherwise the room was well-stocked and in good shape.
