We enjoyed a long weekend several weeks ago. The vibe of the room was warm and romantic- a welcomed change from the cold sterile atmosphere of most upscale places these days. The bed was very comfortable and the rooms- clean and quiet. We both slept solid. They don’t have coffee in the rooms, but they offer free coffee in the lobby so my hubs went down and brought it back up for me while I got ready. The bathrooms were spotless! Lighting was really too dim for me so I took my makeup mirror and sat by the window to finish up. We had the most amazing cinnamon roll at the Pharmacy which is the coffee shop in the original building of the town, this called the pharmacy. We walked out of the back door of the hotel which led directly to Main Street! Location is perfect!! Shopped all day! Decided to have dinner back at the hotel and although it was costly, it was worth it! I had steak, and hubs had salmon.

You can’t find parking, (which never used to be a problem before this hotel was built), but they have a valet, and it’s comped when you’re a hotel or restaurant guest. Nice space. The servers are very friendly. The Cauliflower soup was fantastic, but I ordered the Sauerbraten sandwich, and the meat was dry, tough, awful, hardly any of the traditional vegetables. So disappointing. Hence the 3 bubbles.

The rate was $268 for wed and thurs nights. They also charged a $25 amenity fee and a $25 valet fee (+valet tip every time we got the car). We were quite disappointed in the room which was on the basement floor with a limited view of a 10 ft retaining wall about 2 ft from our window. The room had dark walls & was very poorly lit. We had a larger end room but there was no chair and no furniture at all, just some built in cabinets. basically no place to put our odds and ends...cap, sunglasses, wallet, purse, etc. No ice bucket or coffee maker. The shower was great but there was only a single small sink with very little counter space. The bathroom also had terrible lighting. There was no outdoor space and a very small pool. There is a nice bar and small seating area in the lobby. We didn't try the restaurant as we have our favorites in Fredericksburg already.

It's brand spanking new, so some little things that could use some attention. I'll get to that later. Checking in was a tad sporadic, due to wifi issues. Hey F-Burg has always had wifi issues. What was good is, the front staff were quite accommodating and handled the situation well. Plus, one of them had a little bitty bowtie on her fingernail. Right!? Totally cool. I ushered Suzie over to the bar to meet Patrick, "The German" bartender. Meanwhile, the computer was up and some chick cut in front of me. No worries. My turn, got the low down.. like 24hrs Coffee delivery to the room.. yup. In the old days, there were other things that one might do to stay up all night, but this was unique and extraordinary. Same with water service if I remember correctly. Checked in, they do take a credit card for incidentals, Ms cut in line, couldn't quite comprehend this. Front desk bow tie gurl, explained it very well. She must be in management, if not she should. I quickly got caught up, got the welcome spiel, bell boy (is that PC these days?) had our luggage and I slipped him a Hamilton and asked if he would deposit my luggage in our room while I got acquainted to the almost to good looking barkeep my spouse was swooning over. Yes sir, thank you sir was the response from said luggage assistant. Room, when we finally got there. Very nice. Larger than I expected. We were in a Springs King, overlooking the pool on the third floor. #339. Bathroom was well appointed, glass enclosed shower, towels and stuff. Stuff I don't like, not a hit on these guys, but lotion. All the friggin lotion. Whatever happened to a bar of soap? All these high class hotels want me to smell like George Michaels. Look it up. I don't want to use a wash cloth and wash my privates, it never ends well and I want to end up throwing said washcloth away. Not on top of my Charmin game I guess. Anyhow. The wonderful things about the decor is, modern chic, subtle. The bed, amazing. TV worked. There isn't not really a very comfortable place to sit and watch and see the TV, just a bench in front of the bed. Or, I guess you could actually be in bed. Perhaps you could pull out the TV and it's on a swivel mount? Maybe the luggage assistant would of pointed that out to me had I given him the time of day to go up to the room with him. That's on me. There was a safe, hidden in a bottom drawer. The usual expensive stoner snacks. Yes, I had the popcorn and trail mix. $30 bill there probs. There was a little fridge for vino/adult beverages all at convenient price-point. It fits a bottle of wine I didn't finish after an amazeball meal at The Restaurant. Btw, eat there. I wished there was an easier way to stream on the TV. I wish we didn't stay in a little late so our room wasn't serviced till late afternoon. I really wish that when the place was built some sound insulation was added between the walls. We had a gaggle next door and it got a tad loud, but it was tolerable. Didn't necessarily wake me up or perhaps

Overall a great hotel with friendly staff. The restaurant was good, but pricey. Our room didn’t have a desk, which seemed odd, but otherwise was nice. The shower head and water pressure is what you hope for after a long day of travel. Great location for walkable dining and coffee shops in the morning.

We stayed at The Albert in April 2025 and can honestly say we would return in a heartbeat and highly recommend it. We loved every moment of our stay and felt lucky to be there so early in its journey. Only opened three months ago and we can see this hotel going from strength to strength. It’s a fantastic addition to the beautiful Fredericksburg. I would like to make a few suggestions for management - actively seek client feedback in these early stages whilst they are staying with you. I agree with other comments that a cosmetic mirror would be helpful in the bathroom. I also wasn’t a fan of no coffee maker/teas in the room. In practice it doesn’t work well for clients. These are very minor points and easy to achieve. They are in no way barriers to our return but would help make it a bit more special. A beautiful, architectural designed hotel in an amazing location. Can’t wait to see you grow and hope we can stay with you on our next visit.

We really enjoyed our recent stay at this lovely hotel. I think my favorite part is the awesome combination of the modern hotel with old stone historical buildings. Perfect case in point is the beautiful event center with vaulted ceilings and a whole wall of windows that can open up to a lovely courtyard, with old stone buildings that serve as an outside bar, etc. And don’t miss the Pharmacy and Saloon on the main drag! It’s an awesome set-up for any type of group event! The rooms are very comfortable and the staff was professional and helpful without being stuffy. The food was delicious and the bar served good drinks with great service. All in all, we really liked this hotel and highly recommend it!

Stayed one night at this wonderful new Albert hotel. With a large room, comfortable bed, modern bathroom, great bar with super bartender, James, attentive and pleasant staff, coffee delivered to the room, it exceeded my expectations! The Albert is in a great location to go out and wander the streets, for fun shopping, barhopping, and people watching. I highly recommend this hotel. Seems like a superb location for a business meeting, corporate event, or tour group, as the event center looked really nice.
