Overall stay was good. I think they might have been short staffed during our stay. I would recommend for the resort to have a directory of extension numbers by the room phones. I had to walk to restaurants and reception if I needed something. Probably need somebody supervising and keeping the pool area clean. Overall I enjoyed the stay, good food!

Kingfisher Resort is the best hotel on Fraser Island. The design style is still very close to nature and has won many architectural awards. The sunset bar is beautiful, and the independent villas are spacious and warm. The sanitation conditions cannot be compared with other places, after all, it is on a pristine island that has not been over-developed. The food and gasoline on the island are very expensive, so warm⏰Everyone fill up the gas and bring food to the island. Next time I go to the island, I will choose this resort hotel.

Hotel is dated and below the standard it thinks it is. Reception staff unhelpful. Luggage missing all afternoon and we couldn’t get to the swimming pool. Also nearly missed our tour departure the next morning because of issues with reception. Would not stay here again

K'Gari is a fantastic place to visit - it's the largest sand island in the world and has 100 fresh water lakes on it. Kingfisher Bay resort is located on the west side of the island and is more protested from the weather. The resort is great with two restaurants and bars to choose from and a fair variety on their menus at ok prices. The international staff employed there were all helpful and friendly. There are two small pools and a warm jacuzzi. Kid friendly. Day tours are available and ranger escorted walks. Rooms were spacious and comfortable - our balcony looked out over Wallum Lagoon where we could bird watch. The only criticism I have is with the reservations process at Hervey Bay where it seemed "the left hand did not know what the right hand was doing". A number of times we needed to double check arrangements to make sure they were done accurately. I even received three email confirmations from three different staff members with three different pieces of information about the same thing.

We went with a 6 year old and 9 year old. The island is truly amazing and the resort is a perfect place to stay - we had super comfortable and calm rooms, the kids loved the pool, the sunset watch is amazing

Breathtakingly beautiful felt like a slice of paradise. Weather was perfect and the whale watching tour gave us treasured memories, it was both thrilling and exciting just magical. Accommodation little dated required few tweaks with maintenance and repairs (stayed in Villa) and dusting of cobwebs. Pool area great and sunset cafe and beach provided perfect views.

Amazing place to stay. Close to many of the lakes and great fishing off the jetty or beach. We love this place and will be back
