The photographs tell the truth about this hotel. Please do not make the mistake we did. This is not a 5 star hotel. There is no Spa, fridge in room, WiFi, or soundproofing. It is dirty and in need of major renovation. Look at the bed sheets, bathroom, and lounge.

The worst hotel we have ever stayed at. Please look at the photos taken of our room and around the hotel. It is a mystery how this hotel receives good reviews. People we spoke to were very unhappy. When we arrived there was no soap or shampoo in the room. The room is dirty and the bedding is disgusting. After a night with no sleep we checked out. There are none of the promised facilities. There is no Spa and the rooms are not suites as promised. Soundproofed they claim. Look at the reality. They claim that this is a 5 star hotel.

The worst hotel we have ever stayed at.
When we arrived it was with incredulity that we were shown to our suite. The room was awful, dirty and lacking in most of the facilities promised. We could not wait to leave.

Rubbish rubbish Wanted to buy their rose, stopped at the gate by an arrogant guard who asked for driving licence. My international driving licence has photo and address but the individual demanded to take a photo of me! In all the wine farms we have visited I have never been asked for a photo. The wine tram was behind us with a number of visitors, apparently they don’t have to give any ID or photo! Refused and left. Their wine is not worth the rude security guard. We cannot remember having such a pleasant and relaxing break in such beautiful surroundings plus the staff were attentive, kind and professional. An excellent base for exploring the area and they also produce some excellent wines in their own vineyard.

This is a very homely, relaxing and enjoyable base for Franschhoek. It was our 3rd or fourth stay. Breakfast is excellent and the staff and owners very welcoming. Showers are amongst the best and what the venue lacks in a 5* presentation, it more than makes up for this in style, a relaxed atmosphere and friendliness. Highly recommended.

Fantastic if all too brief stay at this beautiful vineyard. The management booked the magnificent Protege restaurant for us as well as organising transports to and from the town itself. Room, no.1, was amazing in size and quality as well as views. Breakfast and picnic excellent too. Thank you, we'll be back.
