Residence Inn Somerset

I regret not reading the reviews before making a reservation here. I am a cancer patient receiving chemo treatment and the smell of the room and the hallways were making me nauseous. I wanted to do an early check out. But Karen insists that this is my problem and that they never had an odor complaint at this location. I explained to her of my situation to her. I have been staying at Marriott hotels for last 8 months for my treatment and this is the worst place I ever stayed. Not just the uncleanliness and the odor but the attitude from Karen the manager. Obviously from reading the reviews they do have odor issues but she lied to me. I sprayed a heavy duty febreeze but it didn’t help at all. Never ever experienced such an obnoxious and heartless manager on duty. I bled during sleep from this stressful experience. I was crying and begging for refund for remaining 9 nights of my stay but she refused but eventually she charged me an extra night and gave me a refund for 8 nights. She charged me an extra night but informed me to leave in an hour. I hope she will never have to deal with cancer herself to have a decent heart. I have never witnessed commercial garbage located on the floors next to the guest’s rooms

First time at a Residence Inn. First time staying here. The bed was very comfortable and was nice having the separate bedroom/living room space.

I enjoyed my stay there. What had me frustrated is that before checking in I had told the staff member that I have a ******* reservation number and she acknowledged it and then proceeded to double charged me for the room. I did not realize till later that night and I had to have another staff member reverse the charge. Other than that I had a great stay.
