We stayed at the Buccaneer Inn on a short visit to St. George Island and found it to be just what we needed for a quick, beach-focused stay. The location is unbeatable—right on the beach with gorgeous views and easy access to the sand. The staff was very friendly and accommodating, which made check-in and our overall experience pleasant. Our room was clean and functional, though a bit dated in style. Everything worked fine, including the electronics, but we do recommend bringing your own wall adapters—there were no USB ports in the room, which is something we'd love to see updated. The king-sized bed was SO comfortable. There's no breakfast provided, but that wasn’t a problem for us. They did have coffee in the lobby (available 6 am - 10 pm), and it actually tasted great, which we appreciated before heading out to explore the island. The property is family-friendly, and while that’s a plus, be aware that people sometimes leave pool toys and floaties in the walkways, which can be a bit in the way. Our room was right next to the pool—we didn’t use it, but it looked clean and inviting. Overall, the Buccaneer Inn is great for a weekend stay or a quick beach trip. If you’re planning a longer visit, you might consider renting a home instead since the amenities here are more limited. But for a short stay like ours, it was just right. Would definitely recommend for a no-frills, beachside escape!

The entire staff was very friendly and professional. Property was well kept and clean. Diane at front desk was extremely helpful and kind. Was our first time staying there a will happily do so again. Being right on the beach, it was perfect. Highly recommend.

Beautiful view, good value
Clean, comfortable, friendly staff. We had a two-queen gulf-front room, and it was very spacious, and the view was spectacular!
