We were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary and my wife had just went through a major surgery and had been cooped up in the house for awhile. I wanted something quiet, relaxing but comfortable for her. Postcard Cabins Homochitto hit all those points. The “cabin(s), are placed in a rural area, each spot nestled in between piney woods separating each cabin giving a nice private feel. The outdoor space is big enough to have room to move around but small enough to create cozy sitting space. We enjoyed the fire pit but wrestled with the wood (wet) provided, you might be better off purchasing some from the local stores, we saw some outside a station in Meadville which is less than ten minutes away. First look at the unit from the outside is not impressive at all, but once you walk inside, that prospective changes. The finish is comforting and the layout simple. The queen size bed was very comfortable and easily accessible due to steps they have built next to the bed. We went in the middle of August and we were a bit concerned if it would be cool enough inside, it didn’t take long to see/feel we had nothing to worry about. The cabin stayed a comfortable temperature even at the peek heat during the day. The bathroom facilities are what you would expect from a tiny cabin, but still had plenty of room in the shower although, there is no sink in the bathroom. You have to wash you hands or morning prep in the kitchen sink. The kitchen area is small but big enough for two persons to fix a meal. They have a pot & frying pan along with a few cooking utensils. Eatery for four, plates, bowls, cups etc. They do not have a microwave or oven so you may have to be creative when planning (we packed a toaster oven). Also no coffee pot but they do have a kettle with coffee & tea packets with sugar & creamer available if would like to try that. The mini fridge has its limits so an ice chest is recommended. Overall the visit was what I wanted, quiet & peaceful but still comfortable.

My husband and i enjoy our stay. The cabins are so tiny, cute, but very efficiently stocked. The ambiance is amazing. Definitely will be returning.

Perfect little getaway The little cabin was in perfect shape; clean and with high-quality amenities. But for the weather, we had a wonderful time! The wording on the Provisions list was a little misleading. From the internet, it sounded as if the provisions were add-ons that you could purchase, but on the little flyer in the basket it sounded as if the provisions were free and you would need to pay only for any re-provisioning. I'm sure we could have easily clarified this by contacting the hosts, but in the end we only took one teabag from the provisions so it didn't matter all that much. It might be helpful to other guests, however, if the wording could be a little clearer.

The cabin was beautiful and we enjoyed our stay! Nature trail left much to be admired. Thought we would see the river at some point but we didn't.
