Wir waren hier zum späten Mittagessen Mitte September 2024. Am Telefon wurde uns versichert dass das Bistro geöffnet hätte. Vor Ort mussten wir feststellen, dass es verriegelt und verrammelt war. Wir durften in einem Nebenzimmer des Restaurants Platz nehmen wo uns eine Asiatin bedient hat. Ein „Wildkräutesalat mit Ziegenfrischkäse“ für 16.50 Euro war nicht mehr als eine Dekoration auf dem Teller. Wenn wir nicht noch nach Brot gefragt hätten, wäre ich hungriger rausgegangen als ich es vorher war. Ein kleines Radler über 4 Euro! Wer sich ärgern möchte oder viel Geld für ein diätisches Mahl ausgeben will, kann das ja gerne tun- ich war hier zum 1. und letzten Mal. Manchmal liest man über einen langen Zeitraum etwas über ein Hotel oder ein Restaurant und wird in ein oder zwei Punkten enttäuscht, wenn man es dann ausprobiert. In diesem Fall aber war ich einfach nur von der Unverschämtheit vor den Kopf gestoßen!!

Anlässlich einer Wanderung im Lengeltal kehrten wir heute im Bistro Buddenbrock des Hotels Bärenmühle ein. Unser zweiter Versuch hier. Erneut unterirdisch. Preise wie in einem 5*****-Haus einer deutschen Metropole ohne wirkliche Gegenleistung. Ein Wiener Schnitzel für 25,50 EUR scheint hier in der Fritteuse zubereitet zu werden (fachmännisch in der Pfanne zubereitet souffliert die Panade) und wird mit wenigen Salatblättern und ohne jegliche Beilage serviert. Die vegetarische "Quiche" für 13,90 EUR im Durchmesser von ungefähr 6 cm war kalt. Die Getränkepreise haben Pariser Niveau. Sorry, wir geben gerne viel Geld auf Reisen und für Essen aus, aber hier scheint man das savoir vivre der Besitzerinnen zu finanzieren. Einen Stern für die freundliche und zuvokommende blonde Bedienung.

While the service in the evening was excellent, the service for breakfast was rather moderate. The cleanliness of the rooms could be better. The location and in particular the pond in which you can swimm (water rather chilly) is unique!

Let's start with the positives....the chef is amazing the evening meal was excellent. Beds and bedding good although another pillow would've been nice. Now the other stuff.....took us a while to find property as satnav and phone reception not good, decent signage to help guest to property would be nice after a long drive. Very disappointed to not be warned of major building works ongoing with crane as your first view of a lovely old property. Room good size, dated decor and curtains, bath tap fill not working so had to place shower head to fill bath. No socket in bathroom near mirror to dry hair have to use extension lead in bathroom. No milk for tea making facilities, fridge turned off! A bit mean with breakfast. Dinner bed and breakfast with a small number of drinks 330 euro. Very expensive

Angenehme Atmosphäre, freundliches Personal, unglaublich viel Natur und Ruhe. Zimmer „Kuri“ gemütlich Frühstück super, sehr große Auswahl, alles was das Herz begehrt. Jeden Tag die Frage nach Spiegel-Rühr oder gekochtem Ei nach Wunsch frisch zubereitet. Abendessen (3 Gänge-Menü) super lecker und für jeden Geschmack etwas dabei.

Es war ein perfektes Wochenende. Einsam Ruhig und sehr außergewöhnliche Zimmer. Das Essen war sehr gut die Bedienung hat sich sehr bemüht und war ausgesprochen freundlich ! selbst die vielen Kinder brauchten sie nicht aus der Ruhe.
