WoodSpring Suites Kansas City Airport

We were desperately searching for something reasonable in Kansas City for a Saturday night stay. It was nearly impossible. We lived in the same area as this hotel at one time, so we knew the neighborhood. It was very nice. Lots of services and restaurants nearby. And it’s close enough to the airport not to have to deal with Kansas City traffic. We’ve only spent a couple of nights in extended-stay properties, so we were not familiar with what we might be encountering at this property. It’s more like a place to live than it is a nightly hotel. I would say most of the guests were full-time occupants. The elevator went out of service just as we arrived, so our fourth floor room became a first floor room. The room was clean. But we were lacking in basics like towels, Kleenex, ironing board, iron, other amenities that just don’t happen in an extended stay hotel. The people at the front desk were super. We didn’t have a very comfortable feeling about the environment, so we would not choose to stay there again. They did serve coffee in the morning in the lobby. That was nice. There is no breakfast buffet.

Nice, quiet and easy access to get in and out of. Staff was friendly and all areas were clean.

A little hard to find from where map shows. Clean and comfortable.

It was nice to be there

I did not realize it was a pet friendly facility but I quickly found out from all the barking. Not good.
