Squirrel Smart Hotel (Foshan Qiandeng Hunan Gui Road Subway Station Branch)

The lady from Guangxi at the front desk was very helpful and upgraded my room. I think the hotel is okay.

Quite close to the subway station. The front desk staff are very responsive. The hotel has smart toilets. There's a laundry room with a washer and dryer; a 30-minute quick dry gets things about 99% dry.

The hotel's surroundings offer convenient transportation, with the subway station within walking distance, making it easy to get around.

A very nice and clean hotel with great receptionists and service staff. Plus, there's a 24-hour washing machine. It's really clean and close to the subway station, and the receptionists are very welcoming.

Great value for money! This hotel far exceeded my expectations. From the moment I opened the door, I could feel the thoughtful design. The overall decor is simple yet elegant, and the furniture materials and soft furnishings all exude quality, without any cheap, unnecessary embellishments. The room had excellent natural light and ventilation, and the bedding was soft and comfortable – I slept soundly without any back discomfort. The soundproofing was also a pleasant surprise; I couldn't hear any noise from outside or the hallway.

I stayed for nine nights on a business trip. It took ages for the hot water to come on in the shower; I had to stand under the cold water for over half an hour just to get it going. The showerhead was broken, and the sink was severely clogged. Housekeeping didn't bother to clean the drain, and the soundproofing was terrible. The service was also really poor. I asked them to take my laundry out of the washer in ten minutes, but they didn't, and even though they said they'd dry it, they didn't. I asked for water and tissues, and they said 'no problem,' but they never brought them, so I had to go get them myself. I requested two extra pillows, and while they did bring them, they had bloodstains on them. The soundproofing was so bad I could hear the smart speaker in the next room. I have so many more complaints, but I'm too tired to list them all. This is, without a doubt, the worst hotel I've ever stayed in – extremely poor value for money.

The hygiene and overall environment are pretty good.

There's a clothes drying rack, it's comfortable and clean, and the location is great. It's right next to Vanke Nanhai with lots of food options, and very close to Qiandenghu Lake. I had fish sashimi and roasted goose.
