Alpha Mosaic Hotel Fortitude Valley Brisbane

We traveled from the Gold Coast to attend the Ekka, the location was fantastic. Easy walk to Show grounds, lots of great places to eat in Fortitude Valley, the staff were all great.

Hotel location and room were great! We did have to pay $40 per night for parking and then were told we had to move the car to a different park before 8am the morning of checkout as they share the car parks with corporate offices. When moving the car there were no parks available where we were told to park. A little bit frustrating when paying $40 per night for a park. Otherwise it was a great stay!

We booked a 'deluxe room with courtyard view' was given a room that face East Road on ground level. It was dingy, dark and looked nothing like the photos. I complained. The manager said 'Oh you want the court yard view', and I was like 'yes, that's what I paid for'. I got moved to a room with a courtyard view. Which was much nicer and brighter. Unfortunately this room didn't have sheer curtains so we could see the people working in the building opposite with perfect clarity. This hotel has no vibe. Its three floors of some huge apartment developement. The staff were largely useless. The matress didn't have a mattress protector which is always a massive red flag. On the plus side the shower had good water pressure and the location is convenient.

Perfectly located for our office. We placed interstate staff at the hotel for a work function and it was perfect for the purpose required. Will certainly use again for staff functions.

We arrived from the airport by train, and the station area is a bit downmarket (lots of beggars and rough sleepers). However the hotel is a 10 minute walk away and is in a really nice area with lots of great bars and restaurants. The room was large and well equipped with a balcony. As well as the train, there were plenty of buses into the city centre but the best option was the Brisbane CityCat boat which was a 10 minute walk away. Great hotel for a stay in this lovely city.

I booked this hotel last minute after departing from a cruise ship I was stranded extra days on due to Cyclone Alfred. The main reason I secured this hotel was due to its proximity to the downtown area and because it offered 2 single beds for my buddy and I. Upon checking in at approximately 1930 hours, I was told they didn't have a room with 2 single beds, only 1 king-size bed. The receptionist scrambled around to find an appropriate accommodation for us and even contacted his manager for permission for an upgrade. They room they gave us had 1 king bed and 1 convertable sofa bed. With little other options, we agreed to this. That night, I found out the sofa bed was one of the most uncomfortable sleeps in recent momery. I will say the room was clean and nicely appointed besides that. All of the front desk staff were very friendly and eager to assist us. They even provided us umbrellas to use for the day while walking around Brisbane during the remenates of the storm. Our departing flight was late the day of check out, and the hotel accommodated us by providing us late check out (1100) and allowing us to store our baggage there. Overall, the hotel did their part to assist us during our stay, but if given the choice of someone sleeping on the sofa bed, I would not make that mistake again.
