Courtyard Fort Worth Historic Stockyards

The hotel provides excellent service, clean rooms, and a convenient location near Fort Worth's stockyards. Guests particularly enjoy the delicious breakfast and comfortable beds.

I travel frequently for work and am loyal to Marriott all over the world. My experience at this property was most certainly below Marriott standards, mostly due to the parking situation. Valet at this hotel is wholly unnecessary. It's not *that* nice of a property...we're not talking about the JW here. Valet here should at least not be forced upon guests. I insisted not to valet my vehicle and was granted that ability by the front desk. Still had to pay the $20/day parking fee, which is only charged because they know they can get away with it in a touristy area. My biggest gripe about this property was, on the first night at 10:30 PM, I get a call on my room phone from the valet employee telling me to move my truck for garbage pickup in the morning – granted, I was parked in a fully legal, fully legitimate parking space (I have photos and video to illustrate this) which was in front of the back door to the hotel. There was a sidewalk right beside my truck where garbage could have been taken out to the dumpster. It was completely inexcusable to ask me to do that given the late hour and the fact that the parking space was, again, completely legal and legitimate. After I hung up with the valet, I called the front desk to speak with the attendant to express my displeasure at the matter and was greeting with "Hello?" Not the expected "Front desk, how may I help you?" This was very inappropriate and unprofessional. Turns out it was the valet employee who answered the front desk phone. Aside from the horrible parking situation and how its operated, the room was fine, the front desk associates were fine, the location was nice... If this hotel could get its act together in terms of the parking it might be worth a return visit.
