Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center

I have stayed at this property several times and I will never stay here again. Some of the staff was very rude, not just unwelcoming but bordering on hostile. The Bellman basically refused to let us take our carryon size roller bags up to the room stating that the hotel didn't allow guests to transport their own luggage, which we all know is nonsense. He obviously wanted a tip, so I gave him a few bucks of extortion money, and he said OK go ahead. We checked in and it was normal, when we got to the suite we thought ok forget it and let's just move on, but then we found dirty laundry from previous guest in the room, some stained with what appeared to be feces. The carpets were sticky with some substance. There were no curtains in the bedroom of the suite and so no light reduction nor privacy. We called the front desk and asked for housekeeping, and they said they would see to it. So, we went out for a bit to let them rectify things. When we got back no one had come. We called again, actually five time and they never came. In fact, we could not get the room serviced, no towels, no trash emptied, nor any service. I then asked for the manager and was transferred to the front t desk. The woman who answered says she was the manager, but when we checked out, we found out that she had lied and was in fact not the manager. She offered placating comments like "thanks for letting us know, that is how we will do better next time", but never did anything about the issues. She then said I will put in a ticket to have engineering hang curtains in the bedroom. Never happened. This is not a cheap place to stay, bit there are other options and for what they charge I would recommend using some of them. Truly disappointing and awful experience.
