Residence Inn Fort Myers Sanibel

“Assistant manger” (only 1 person) was at check-in which took forever. Overall hotel is dirty & smells in common areas & sleeping rooms. Mold growing on patched ceiling & shower area. Elevators very dirty. Limited service hotels charges for parking. Another Marriott gouging customers. Breakfast is served on styrofoam plates?? No instructions on how to use waffle maker. No one around to ask either.

Wow, if I could give this place 0 stars I would. The staff manager Edward and clerk Chieen are rude and hands down made my experience working with them horrible. I don’t care about the stay but the customer service was horrible from the two of them. After calling the night before due to an honest mistake on my part, the manager nor the clerk had a heart. They lied and told me I needed to go through the 3rd party booking site when they were in fact the people who could help me. After getting in touch with the 3rd party site they still lied and said they couldn’t help when in fact that had already made up their minds and decided they were not going to help out my family. After calling them back the Clerk lied and said the manager had left his office when it is in fact a holiday weekend so I know the manager didn’t leave, they were just lying so he didn’t have to answer the phone. I take full responsibility that I double booked due to the 3rd party site having 4 cancellation buttons and I clicked the wrong button, but its so sad that we live in a world where people can’t even be honest and truthful. We asked if the hotel stay could be used at a later time since we were already charged, they were not willing to help at all. I’ve never had an experience where people just won’t consider doing anything. I hope the manager Edward and the clerk Chieen are never in a position where they need someone to give them grace due to a mistake. You two need to go back to customer service school because this was the worst customer service I have ever received. I have not stayed yet, but I’ll be coming back to give another review based on my stay. I hope its better than the service you give, but if I don’t expect much!!!

Great place to stay but we were shocked that they charged $5 for parking?

Convenient to Sanibel Great location. Clean hotel. Nice sized rooms. Free breakfast.

The hotel is in the perfect place to get to Sanibel and Captivata - it’s very close to the toll road. The hotel is immaculate and the ladies at the front are super friendly, helpful and go out of their way to make sure everything is perfect. Will definitely stay here each time we visit Sanibel going forward.
