Edison Beach House

We absolutely loved our trip to Fort Myers Beach! Edison Beach House was the perfect place for our stay. It is an older building but very well kept and clean. The elevator was currently out of service since they reopened and we were on the 5th floor. Thankfully this was okay for us. (They did call us in advance to make sure this worked for us.) We were within walking distance to everything yet far enough away when we didn't want to be part of the action. The beach was great and we absolutely loved the fact that they had a closet full of stuff for us to use at the beach (chairs, floaties, etc.). The front desk people were very friendly and helpful when we spoke with them. The only thing I wished they had was a few umbrellas to use on the beach (there was one but we couldn't get it in the ground) but we spent most of our time in the ocean anyway. Washer and dryers and all the kitchen appliances/utensils were a huge plus and we had an amazing view from the top floor!! Highly recommend!!

Wow. So impressed with Edison House. It was clean and quiet and the folks at the front desk were polite and professional. Our unit had everything we needed plus a washer/dryer and an amazing beach view. I will be coming back to Edison House next time I'm in Ft. Myers Beach.

4 night girls trip down from Ohio. We stayed in room 202. Check-in experience was seamless, the room was immaculate, the pool area is well kept and new. I was super impressed by the care the gentleman performing the maintenance gave to this beautiful property. FMB is my home away from home and I've missed it. I think I've found a new place to hang my swimsuit when I visit.

Loved it

If you’re a fancy pants traveler don’t stay here. If you’re a beach life person stay here. Large apartment-like room…large living space/kitchen area, 2 bedrooms (one with 2 beds), 2 bathrooms with showers, full kitchen, washer and dryer. There is no lobby, drinks, snacks, etc. so just went to Walmart and ABC and got all the food and drinks we needed. Great beach but could have used large beach umbrellas and chairs but they were for rent next beach over 300’ away. More of an apartment feel than hotel, definitely better than hotel experience. Lots of places within walking distance (bars, restaurants, beach shops). Took a gamble staying here especially post-hurricane but great decision.

Absolutely loved it. On the beach, super friendly people, free parking and large rooms, with washing machine. Would come back
