Older hotel, the hallways and rooms have been renovated, room was OK, air conditioning was slow to cool the room but the refrigerator worked and microwave worked great. Bathroom was very small with little counter space and poor lighting. No elevator, so lugging luggage upstairs was a pain. Indoor pool was like an oven, I didn’t swim. Internet worked great. TV was Direct TV and you had to key in stations slowly, very difficult to change channels. There was a restaurant and bar on the premises, very unusual for today. The restaurant was used as the breakfast area in the morning, so there was plenty of room. They serve dinner too, but I didn’t eat there. Parking lot was beat up and the landscaping had weeds. I paid $59 which was a bargain, and while it was older, it met my needs and the location was great.

Check-in process left a little to be desired. I got to the front desk and no one was there, so I rang the bell for service - 3x until someone came. I asked to be on the first floor and close to my family who were traveling and staying in another room. The woman said that there were no rooms available and put me on the 2nd floor. My daughter checked in later, got a room on the first floor. The room was OK, nothing stellar about it, but adequate for a nights stay without any issues. The hotel is not close to any restaurants, so you need to drive about 5 - 10 minutes to get something to eat. Heavy smell of manure on the air, probably common for early November in Iowa.

Traveler Willow Ann Ertman . On the evening of Nov 5, 2021,my 3 month old baby and I drove to the Quality Inn in Fort Dodge IA and was refused service as I was 4 months shy of 21. They also kept and refuse to return my prepaid fee. It was dark and late and my baby had nowhere to go as I spent all my money on that reservation. I called and they said no way would they refund money. They are rude and no where did it say 21 years old. They used my credit card. It is very hard to make a reservation and have to sleep in a car with a 3 month old. After 8 hours of driving to get to hotel.

We stopped in while driving down on our Harley Davidson Motorcycle. We stopped at the Grotto of Redemption in West Bend, Ia. to check that out first & tomorrow we’ll be checking out the Fort Dodge Museum here in Fort Dodge, Ia. We enjoy seeing historic places. We liked the accommodations, the hallways had just been newly carpeted. Our King Bed Room was clean & spacious, with a microwave & frig.

We and two other couples stayed there for two days, July 23, 24. After we checked in, all three of us discovered gross defects with our rooms: broken toilet; moldy wet carpet and A/C that didn't work. So we all had to take our stuff back to the front desk and get another room. It was a 3 floor hotel without elevators (one of our group could not handle stairs). The hotel resembled a construction zone - renovations going on throughout. The ice maker on or floor did not work. Our A/C was noisy. Quality? Not much of that in this tired hotel.

I am staying here at the quality inn in fort dodge iowa and the manager Shannon is absolutely wonderful she goes out of her way to help the guest . The women works when she aint even suppose to be working. She is very kind and considerate . I see she has done a wonderful job with getting it updated she is still in the process of it but it looks amazing . I would recommend this hotel to anyone and I would also like to comment on the parking lot it looks great as well. Shannon has made this place fabulous .

I live in Fort Dodge but needed a place to stay, with my cat, because I had no water at home (plumbing situation). I stayed for four days. Quality Inn is an old motel but they are fixing it up and it is clean, the staff are friendly, the breakfast buffet is good and the Casablanca Steak House (and bar), on the premises, is excellent. I would stay there again and again and I will direct out-of-towners there. And it is economical!
