A cozy frontier cottage, with a large livable space. Two big queen beds with plenty of pillows, hot shower and an abundance of towels. We enjoyed rocking and reclining with hot tea after a busy day in Big Bend. WiFi, mini frig. and microwave a plus!

We spent two nights while visiting McDonald Observatory and taking the scenic drives around Ft. Davis. We found the two rooms super attractive but more importantly, we enjoyed the beds. There was enough room to have chairs which is always a plus. I emailed and called the staff with minor questions since we had made the reservations months ago. They were always quick to respond/answer. We ate breakfast at two of the small stores close by. One was directly across the street. We have stayed in the more famous place and this was way better.

The room and property were very nice. The town has little to offer for food so need to drive to Alpine.

Just what you want. Cozy. Clean. Well maintained. Communication was great. It was spring when we stayed and they were planting flowers. You could tell they cared about the place. There’s a convenient restaurant and bar with local beers on tap, right at the front.

Loved the Cozy Butterfield Inn
Very comfortable room with a working fireplace, although it wasn’t cold enough to use it. Lovely enclosed courtyard patio where you could enjoy a glass of wine or a beer and pizza from the on-site pub. Great proximity to the McDonald Observatory.

A quaint property conveniently located to delicious food and Davis Mt State Park. We loved getting to use the fireplace on a chilly night. Very clean and well maintained property and communication was great!

Great experience. Cottage was adorable and very clean and well furnished/appointed. Easy parking. Part of property contains a bar that also serves food (bar fare). Will stay again when next in Fort Davis!
