Motel 6 Fort Bragg, CA

Our family has been staying at Motel 6 in Fort Bragg since 2016. From 2016 through 2023 we would go three times a year. We would specifically make it a point to stay at Motel 6 Fort Bragg because of the professionalism, courtesy, and clean rooms I have personally enjoyed interacting with the manager every single time we stayed there as I want to personally thank her for everything . Today, April 23, 2025 we had a different experience. I made a reservation online as I have for the past 11 years as I like to see the confirmation number immediately we travel from afar so I always make it a point to call the front desk to confirm our reservation as a date approaches. Today I called the front desk Fort Bragg Motel 6 707-964-4761 I spoke with Jalene at the front desk. I gave her out my name as I didn’t have the confirmation number in front of me. She stated she could not locate me, even after I spelled my name and repeated my name numerous times. Jalene recommended that I make another reservation. I hung up, located the confirmation reservation number and called back once again I spoke with Jalene and I gave her the confirmation/reservation number number and she said she could not locate me neither by my name nor the confirmation number. Said she spoke with her manager and that they are recommending that I make another reservation online or to call the reservation number. When I questioned the rates that I had received in March if it would still apply, she did say that they could make accommodations for such after the reservation has been made. I then called the reservation number where the answering party was able to locate my reservation immediately and confirmed the confirmation/reservation number that I have been giving the Front Desk go along. I asked the reservation specialist to stay on hold and I was going to add her into the call with the front desk Because I needed to confirm that there would be no issues upon our arrival as we travel from afar. I called the front desk and I added the reservation specialist to the call as the answering party. It was once again. Jalene stated that she had been given a different code and that the reservation was in fact confirmed. I told her I had the reservation specialist on the line And that I did not believe that there was another code because the reservation/confirmation number had not changed. I told her that it was highly unprofessional of her for saying that there was no reservation when I had my doubts that she had even looked up the reservation to begin with. We have been staying there for over 11 years and even though I completely understand employees that are overworked or understand I find this behavior, highly unprofessional as all she had to do was confirm my confirmation/reservation number versus telling me that there was no reservation to be found. We will keep this reservation as it is the last three day weekend that I can personally take off from work, but will seriously reconsider ever st

Very Bad Stay The motel was being completely renovated, however it was no where near completion. The exterior of the buildings were very rundown. There were cones, and caution tape, ladders and other construction equipment everywhere. Aside from the “Motel 6 starter kit” (turquoise paint, laminate flooring and the bed) it was just a seedy motel. The baseboards and walls were marred, scuffed and stained. The property felt unsafe. During my 2 night stay there was a couple, parked in their car right in front of my room, with the motor running for an extended period of time, both nights. The TV didn’t work in the first room assigned to me. I had reserved 3nights but I couldn’t stay there any longer. I’m surprised that the Motel 6 corporation would allow a place like this to operate under their banner. I won’t stay in a motel 6 again.
