A lovely place with very kind and welcoming staff. Nicely decorated and a nice feel from being in a big, historic house. A good selection of drinks in the bar and nice locals. Forres is also a lovely little town with public gardens and a couple of good restaurants. A warm welcome awaits.

Had a lovely evening in the bar here the other day with a group of friends. Carla behind the bar was on particularly fine form. Thanks to Stewart and the team, wishing you all a very merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and looking forward to our next visit.

A very nice place , so long as you’re happy with the locals singing “party tunes” in the bar. If you ask them to stop the barmaid threatens you. Maybe avoid. They charge 30 quid for a steak that’s no better than something you can get a Wetherspoons. Camp , build a den in the woods , just don’t stay here.

Disappointed with the room.
2 nights stay. Room was very dated, tired and in much need of renovation. Marks on the walls and bathroom shower had such low pressure it was unusable. Tap pressure was fine, so nothing to do with Scottish water.... just need a pump for the shower! The toilet also did not flush and had a sticker on it saying to try a few times!! Even so it was very hit or miss. We highlighted the issues with the room to reception the next morning and were moved to another room, which was at least functional! Very overpriced for the condition of the hotel. Front garden nicely kept and staff friendly and helpful.
