The room we were allocated was very dated with chipped brown furniture and in need of a make over. When we complained we were given a better room that had been upgraded more recently. Cost per night £170 . Breakfast was pretty basic, but ok. We ate out in the evening as told that the chef was ill and dinner menu very limited. Forres is a lovely town with a good selection of shops etc and an ideal base to explore the surrounding beaches and countryside.

This hotel could not be more accommodating! A lovely historic country home turned hotel offering a central location. Very convenient to explore Moray, Inverness-shire, and Aberdeenshire, but away from the chaos and "touristy" stuff. Very clean, staffed by friendly and helpful people, serving yummy food. Keep in mind that this hotel is an independent, so if you're used to the big chains, this is not for you. But if you would like a true taste of Scottish hospitality, I could not recommend highly enough.

After booking this hotel to attend a funeral I had an unexpected health issue. The staff could not have been more kind or understanding. I would definitely recommend to my friends. Hotel set in a beautiful location with lovely walks nearby.

Belle chambre la 205 au charme un peu dépassé idem pour la salle de bain, mais ambiance très agréable et accueil charmant. Bonne cuisine, saumon roti et fish and chips extrêmement croustillant... Bière Écossaise en bouteille excellente et vin blanc sauvignon aussi. Rapport qualité /prix moyen, mais pas de regrets.. Parking près de l'hôtel
