Nous avons séjourné 6 jours dans cet hôtel qui bénéficie d'un emplacement spacieux entre jardins et très belle plage avec transats ( accès direct depuis l'hôtel). Le design de l'hôtel est très beau et toutes les infrastructures confortables et agréables (piscine, transats etc..) ; possibilité de recharger sa voiture électrique. Notre chambre offrait une vue latérale sur la mer et sur les jardins. Petit déjeuner très bon et complet. Proximité des endroits à Formentera (en voiture) - tout est facile d'accès. Pas grand monde et l'atmosphère y est relaxante. Inconvénients : Chambre double très petite (comme déjà mentionné plusieurs fois dans les autres commentaires) - tout est minimaliste et vous êtes assez "l'un sur l'autre" La chambre est mal insonorisée donc vous entendez la TV du voisin et l'autre voisin ronfler la nuit (c'était notre cas). Personnel serviable, certain beaucoup plus souriant que d'autre mais dans l'ensemble c'est très mécanique . Cet hôtel manque d'âme , vous êtes de "passage" ; il n y'a pas ce sentiment du "comme à la maison" / chaleur. Ca reste une très belle adresse à Formentera pour un séjour qui sera agréable.

Nous avions réservé 4 nuits au Gecko Hotel en nous fiant aux photos et descriptions séduisantes sur internet. Quelle déception en arrivant ! Le hall de réception est sombre et minuscule, sans charme. L’ambiance générale du bâtiment est lugubre, très loin de l’élégance annoncée. La chambre, quant à elle, était extrêmement petite, à tel point qu’il était difficile d’y circuler à deux. Aucun espace intime : la douche est directement dans la chambre, sans séparation, et le lavabo est caché… dans l’armoire à l’entrée ! Face à une telle déception, nous avons décidé de quitter l’établissement immédiatement, malgré les pertes financières importantes. Le manager n’a proposé aucun remboursement, ni même un geste commercial, alors que nous avions réservé quatre nuits. Nous partageons cet avis pour éviter à d’autres voyageurs la même mauvaise surprise. Ce lieu ne reflète en rien ce qui est présenté en ligne : les photos sont trompeuses et ne montrent pas la réalité des lieux. Un minimum d’honnêteté et de considération aurait été apprécié.

Siamo stati a pranzo in una cornice stupenda fronte mare. Qualità del cibo ottima. Prezzo consono al livello offerto. Personale molto cordiale all'ingresso della struttura (ristorante della beach house) e durante il pasto, mai invadenti, attenti al punto giusto. Top!

Pure magic. Had read some of the mixed reviews and almost didn’t book Gecko but am still thanking God that I did. This hotel left me in a daze; the property was pure bliss, huge lawns, plentiful pool chairs and bali beds, no “minimums” for the best ones, beautiful dining room with amazing food, and best of all INCLUDED beach chairs right on the most sandy stretch of beach on Playa Migjorn. I visited a few other areas of Migjorn and many of the other hotels “on the beach” are really on rock and coral beds, not sandy parts. The room was confortable and well-appointed, balcony had a great view even for the basic room. The staff were probably the best part, especially the head waiter in the restaurant and front desk staff. They greet you by name and remember your room number, they make you feel like a regular who has returned home. I cannot recommend this property enough. Front desk will also reserve pool or beach chairs for you if you ask the night before but I had no problem getting one at all even with the hotel full. The beach chairs being right on the sand and included for hotel guests (contrary to prior reviews) was really a huge bonus!

Haben mit Homecoming Retreats eine wunderbar, erholsame Woche in dem zauberhaften Gecko Beach Hotel verbracht. Sauberkeit, Essen, Lage und der Service des Personals…besondere Dank an Dinesh …haben uns die Zeit dort versüßt! Empfehlen möchte ich unbedingt noch die Masseurin in dem Hotel. Hatte bei ihr bereits zwei Massagen und diese waren einfach himmlisch. Sie versteht ihr Handwerk ohne Zweifel. DANKE LIEBES GECKO TEAM….sehen uns hoffentlich nächstes Jahr!

Love the Gecko, and this was my third visit. Very high standards all round, so I was surprised to find our 6 o'clock cocktail was a let-down. It looked pretty, nicely served with olives, but it just tasted pretty blahhh and felt it had come from a bottle of pre-mixed drinks It felt like the spirit had been left out: certainly didn't have the PUNCH the margarita had at Besos the day before! When we mentioned it to the waiter, he went off to speak to bar staff, and then only charged us for one. Felt like they admitted it. Come on team Gecko: you can do better!
