Our Stay at the Hotel Albatros was one of the best resort stays we have had in 40 years of travelling. The location is perfect. Right on the coast and walking distance from Forio. Our room, along with most others, had spectacular ocean views. We also enjoyed a very spacious ocean facing patio. What impressed us the most was the amazing team. From the warm welcome at reception every day, to the friendly and very efficient housekeeping staff. We want to make special mention of Nicolette who has to be one of the best wait staff ever. The Maître de, Giovanni and also Beiga who were also excellent. We ate at the hotel most nights and were never disappointed. The food is delicious! The rooms are kept meticulously clean and ocean facing pool area was lovely. This hotel is a wonderful place to stay.

Booked as part of a package deal we had no expectations before going to this hotel. A twenty-minute walk into Forio centre, the hotel sits on the front facing west giving the rooms a sea view and more importantly a sunset view. Our room, set up as a family room but as easily could have been a suite, was spacious and comfortable (the main bed was a little hard for my old back). The four piece bathroom had a large shower; the all important balcony was more than large enough for four guests - there was only two of us. The roof terrace shared the same view, the pool may need a little maintenance before too long. Breakfast was great - if you have a sweet tooth then it is heaven. The Cappuccino would cost a lot if bought in the UK. A great base to explore both Ischia and the Bay of Naples, thoroughly enjoyed it.

Lage mit Blick aufs Meer sehr schön. Das Dorf Forio fussläufig erreichbar, gute Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und Restaurants. Grosse Zimmer mit Balkon-Meersicht, jedoch etwas schmuddelig und Kühlschrank zur Nutzung. Betten bequem. Vor allem an der Poolbar hätten die Angestellten genügend Zeit (da praktisch keine Gäste) die Tische sauber zu wischen, den Boden zu fegen oder Blätter am Beckenrand einzusammeln. Zimmer/Terrasse mässig sauber. Auswahl Frühstück und Nachtessen gut. Obwohl etwas mehr vegetarische Menues hätten zur Auswahl stehen können. Essen gut, jedoch fade.

Wir waren hier mit Freunden 3Nächte. Haben nur mit Frühstück gebucht. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden auch die Lage gut. 1km zu Fuss in das Dorf nach Forio. Hotel bietet gratis shuttel zum Dorf jeddoch mit Reservierung bei der Rezeption. Unser Shuttel kam leider 20Minuten zu spät, ansonsten sehr praktisch. Gleich in der Nähe hat es ein gutes Restaurant wo wir fein gegessen haben ( Jamm Ja). Terasse mit Pool sehr schön mit Blick auf Meer wo man bei der Bar auch ,,Snack’‘Bestellen kann. Eine seite vom Pool warm so das wir auch im Oktober noch Baden konnten. Schade war bei uns das Wetter nicht so gut sonst hätten wir bestimmt noch mehr Zeit auf der Terasse verbracht. Zimmer sauber, mit Balkon mit Meersicht. Badezimmer ziemlich altmodisch eingerichtet. Dusche war leider defekt so das es immer sehr komische und laute Geräusche aus dem Strahl kammen während dem Duschen auch tat es weh weil der Strahl so stark war. Frühstück war sehr fein viel Auswahl!

Really nice location, with all rooms overlooking the sea, hence enhancing the relaxing experience the island gives. Walking distance from Forio’s vibrant centre and bus transport to and from Ischia. Rooms sunny and airy, with charming old well maintained (our experience at least) furniture. Amazing personnel, always happy to help with anything.

Abbiamo soggiornato a settembre una settimana in famiglia a mezza pensione. Ottima la posizione dell'hotel a 15 minuti a piedi dalla bellissima spiaggia di Citara e con ulteriore spiaggia di fronte. Raggiungibile anche il centro di Forio a piedi. Stanza molto capiente, luminosa e molto pulita. Personale fantastico, sempre disponibile a soddisfare ogni richiesta e a consigliarci itinerari e relative soluzioni. Colazione varia ed abbondante e cena di altissima qualità (noi abbiamo sempre preferito l'opzione pesce). Un grazie al team del cuoco Ciro e alla squadra del maitre Giovanni, per la professionalità e cordialità. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.

We loved everything about this hotel. The room was spacious, very clean and attractive with a private terrace overlooking the pool and the sea. We chose half-board and breakfast and dinner were both excellent with very professional and friendly staff. The poolside was great with views at sunset and poolside bar service. Highly recommend.
