I have gone to relax in the so called Japanese style "Soaking Pool," now about a dozen times...I have found that in the evenings; from 5pm to 9pm, the tranquil setting that is the vibe of the Grand Lodge doesn't hold true when it comes to the pool!!! The lodge allows kids thruout the entire hours of pool being available...Somebody please get a clue! Set kiddie hours from 2 to 4 or 5pm...Cmon, adults want to relax in the awesme outdoor garden pool setup..BTW, when do you see alcohol allowed at a pool where kids are involved? Could this be a OLCC issue? I hope so!!! Give us adults the tranquil soak as the name implis...Afterall, it doesn't say swimming pool, splashing pool, ...rite?

This is the absolute worst place I have ever stayed in my life. Right now there is blaring music downstairs that ‘might’ stop at 10pm. There is no bathroom or shower in the room, a total shock to me. There are people who are loud, playing music everywhere and a fly is buzzing around my head right now. Someone started playing guitar next door. This is the worst place I’ve ever been.

Before Booking
I didn't realized that when I booked thr room it had no bathroom and I have to get up several times a night to go to the bathroom (not convenient) but the hotel and people were great. We only stayed one night. I have to say it was a very nice place.

I love the property, it's gorgeous. The service was not as awesome. We went out to the restaurant outside because the hotel website said they served pizza out there. We got out there, waited a long time to be seated, waited still for someone to take a drink order, and when we said we wanted to order pizza, they said they didn't serve it anymore and and hadn't taken it off the menu. This also happened while ordering drinks at another bar, out of ingredients and a cocktail on the menu that wasn't available any more

One of our favorite McMenamin locations. Historic building, great soaking pool and lots of funky places to grab a bite and a beverage. The grounds are very walkable.
