Gorgeous, picturesque, lovely owners
Run by a lovely young family, this place is a veritable retreat. We got a balcony room over the river and it was worth it. You can see the covered bridge, stars, and the church overlooking the property. The beds are extremely comfortable. The breakfast is nice. The entire place is very cute, you can also book sauna for a reasonable fee as long as you tell them in advance.
Out of all the places I've been this month, they have the best coffee.
They have a children's area in the breakfast/dining room, this was very helpful for our kid.

Incredible hotel experience
Best hotel experience I ever had. The staff is incredibly nice and welcoming. The terrace by the river is incredible, a moment of peace and quiet under the stars in the night. Breakfast was really good as well.

Aanrader in het Zwarte Woud
Positieve verrassing! Vriendelijke ontvangst, ruime, modern ingerichte kamer. Schoon. Het ontbijt is zeer uitgebreid. In het restaurant kun je kiezen tussen Duitse en Aziatische gerechten. We hebben er heerlijk gegeten, alleen moesten we af en toe zelf achter het personeel aan om nog wat te kunnen bestellen. Dit hotel + restaurant is een aanrader.

Excellent gasthaus with idyllic location
Excellent gasthaus and its staff too! The location is idyllic as is the hotel itself. Good breakfast and clean rooms. Limited parking space but manageable, friendly and helpful gasthaus staff helped us out with finding a parking space. We had only one night stay here, but we should have spent more time here as the place was so nice overall. Definitely will come again.

Would recommend - excellent
Excellent stay, friendly owners and top notch location next to the river. Free on site parking (about 5 or 6 spaces). Also ate at the restaurant, which was also very good.
