We had a very enjoyable meal last night, excellent food across all three courses. Everything was locally sourced where possible. Received a warm welcome & were well looked after. Good choice of drinks. Highly recommended & we’ll be back! Thank you.

Everything in Wolds Restaurant at Orchard Lodge, Flixton is amazing. Once again we visited this restaurant, this time for a special celebration of my wife and I having shared 51 years together. Every visit here becomes special the moment you walk through the door. A warm and friendly greeting from the owners can be guaranteed, followed by a convivial atmosphere in the snug, where a wide range of aperitifs are available. Then to the comfortable and friendly dining area. Here you will find the blackboard standing by your table and on which is displayed the menu for the evening, each option showing the ingredients and price. I invariably want all of them and struggle in my mind to settle for one. This, to me, is the sign of an excellent menu! There is always a vegetarian option and not one that merely panders to vegetarians, but an option even I, a resolute carnivore, would happily enjoy. Should you decide to visit, you must start with the delicious bread and butter(s) - so yummy. Desserts are not my thing (they are however, most definitely my wife’s, who usually starts by referencing the desserts before deciding upon her choice of starter and main) I always enjoy the desserts here too and again a modest selection of perhaps four options, all carefully prepared and presented. One thing we particularly appreciate is that the menu evolves all the time, so even if you were to visit every week, you would not run out of something new to try. My ambition is to incorporate a wonderful meal here with an overnight stay. It seems to me to be the perfect way to end a perfect evening; just to potter up the stairs and fall into a comfortable bed, with the dreams of waking up to an equally fabulous breakfast. Orchard Lodge is a credit to the area and a gem to find. I thoroughly recommend this place.

Tonight we thoroughly enjoyed a charity event to support NCI Filey. With a wonderful ‘taste of the sea’ menu, every course of locally sourced ingredients was beautifully presented. The hospitality as ever was superb. We hope for many more of the same at this unique wolds restaurant we are fortunate to have on our doorstep.

The owner, Kirsty Wiseman, is not an honest person. Promised me a refund for days I had to cancel due to her accommodation having smelly drains, faulty shower, slight flooding. She reneged on her promise and I did not receive the refund promised.

Always innovative food. We had a special set 5 course menu on this valentines evening which was excellent, normally we choose a la cart which always has local produce and we have never been disappointed to date. Service is always attentive.

We had a wonderful overnight stay and enjoyed the Valentine Tasting menu Food was delicious and the wine choices equally as good Breakfast the next morning had plenty of choices and was very good quality The hosts were warm and welcoming and we highly recommend We will definitely be back!
