Apart from the location which was convenient and close to the beach, the rest of the experience was terrible, there was dirt literally every where in the room, radiators, television, curtains everything was dusty more over shower and lights in the bathroom was not working properly. House keeping services i don't know if they were there in the hotel, I had to request 4 times to empty my rubbish bin. The worst hotel I had ever stayed in!!! Period.

There are always beggars in the hotel lobby asking for money. You can't use the hotel key unless you ask them to write it in every time you use it. It's a shame because the location is great.

The hotel is a little bit old, but the location is very good. You can see the sea from your window.

I booked through *******, paid £27 extra for a balcony room... but did not get a balcony room and the hotel is now refusing to refund me the extra I paid for this. When I checked in, reception told me they had spotted in advance that I'd booked a balcony room, despite no balcony rooms being available, and so would I instead like to accept a free bottle of wine to say sorry. Given they spotted the problem in advance, they had the opportunity to cancel my booking, or to at least message me in advance to highlight the issue, but they instead chose to proceed with the booking and hope that I would accept a cheap bottle of wine in lieu of the £27 I threw down the drain. And now they are responding to any contact from *******, so I cannot get my money back. I'm left wondering if this was a 'mistake' at all; do they routinely tell ******* they have balcony rooms available, dupe people into paying extra, then put them in standard rooms while pocketing the extra cash? The hotel itself was pretty dreadful - it's shabby, very dated and uncomfortable, smells really musty, and the room was unbearably hot with no air conditioning, and no way to prop open the window. So our only option was to sleep with a noisy fan on all night. Avoid this hotel. It's not very nice, and they may rip you off like they did to me.

Room and hotel were clean. Daytime reception staff and general areas cleaner were all helpful and very pleasant. Room key didn’t work when I came back in the evening but night reception staff were helpful and soon sorted it out. Lovely view from the shared balcony of my room. Room had everything I needed but the mattress was a bit hard. Reasonable price for a seafront room in July.

Hotel is under renovation (and probably has been for some time) so we didn't expect much. Parking can be a problem, but we managed to find a spot 100 yds away. Parking is free (but scarce) between 6pm and 8am. We arrived at 5.25pm so only had to pay until 6pm. Receptionist was a delight but seemed to be the only staff on duty - she doubled up as bartender. Lift ancient and cramped. Found our room on top floor but it hadn't yet had it's card key lock fitted, had to return to reception for physical key - receptionist full of apologies. Room was spotless and larger than we expected for a "compact double". Spacious bathroom and tea and coffee making. Bar was reasonably priced. We sat outside on the front terrace. View was great and it was surprisinly quiet apart from some aggresive Herring Gulls. A few building bits and pieces here and there. It would be churlish to criticise this hotel at the price they are charging. We stayed just one night before catching an early ferry. Stay again? Absolutely!
