Beautifully refurbished hotel, an amazing upgrade to the facilities! Excellent service in the restaurant. Incredibly friendly and accommodating staff. Our room had breathtaking sea views. Breakfast was great with a top buffet selection and also a menu for a la carte. Highly recommended. We will definitely will be coming back.

We were a party of 5 and had a disappointing Christmas lunch in the restaurant. I suppose the alarm bells should have rung when we were told we had to pre-order in November. The mushroom tartlet case served with soft boiled egg and hollandaise was made with a pre-manufactured sweet pastry base! The beef main course didn’t come with any vegetables or potatoes. The mushroom paste in the beef was the same mushroom paste used for the tart. The same brown powdered gravy that was served with the beef was also used for my wife’s turkey. The desert looked like it had been dropped before coming to the table. The coffee was like dirty dish water. And I paid £700 for the privilege! Merry Christmas Marco Pierre-White! We won’t be eating with you next year.

Wonderful one night stay at Voco. The hotel is exceptionally clean and beautifully decorated. All staff we came into contact with were friendly and helpful. We had booked a standard room, but upon arriving to the room I realised it was one of their cosy doubles, a quick trip back to reception, and the gentleman on reception apologised and gave me a key for the correct room with no issue. The room was spacious enough for us and the bathroom was immaculate! Only issue we found was when returning back to our room late on in the evening, the lift seemed to be stuck on the 4th floor so had to walk up the 3 flights of stairs, not something I enjoyed, as I am heavily pregnant. Other than that I cannot fault this hotel at all. Would definitely stay again
