This was an outstanding choice! Meal, service, ambiance, music! Invited here by friends (isn't that the best, 3rd party, recommendation by a trusted source). Now I'm frustrated that I haven't been here before (and several times). Look, I'm a foodie. This place is one of the finest restaurants in lower Alabama! Attention to detail, first class dining in a historic, romantic yet comfortable setting. It checks ALL the boxes. We had fried mushrooms appetizer, super crispy fried catfish, 16oz prime ribeye, apple/peach beignet! Everything was superb! Don't lollygag! Rush to "dine" here for Dinner or Lunch at your first opportunity! Reasonably priced, you'll get far more than your money's worth!

The very small room had no closet to hang clothes and had a water leak under the sink causing the bathroom to continuously be flooded with water. They tried resolving it by turning my hot water off. I asked for a manager stating this is unacceptable but no manager ever got back to me. They only left piles of towels outside my door. I ate at their restaurant and had a terrible experience and asked for their best wine and the waiter said all he has is a house Cabernet! He couldn’t even give me the name of it or a wine list. Then the waiter just stood there and stared at me so I asked for my bill and left and drove down the street and ate. The building looks historical and beautiful, however the staff did not care that I asked for a manager in both incidents. I was going to cancel room & move to another hotel & pay a lot more but they would not even get back to me!

Went on Friday night and was greeted by the owner Kevin. Had the fried green tomato appetizer which was really good. We both got the 12 oz prime rib which was cooked and seasoned to perfection! A generous 12 oz. Creamed spinach was really dood too. Had enough leftovers for steak and eggs for breakfast the next day. Had the apple and peach Binet for dessert which was super too. This place is FANTASTIC!!! My new favorite local restaurant.

Very nice hosts, and great breakfast. The room was nice but tight. I can't remember if the pool is featured on the marketing material, but the pool is tiny and there's no poolside chairs or tables. This place is fine as long as you don't mind drives in thick traffic with lots of stop lights to the beach. Take the scenic route 90 into Fairhope -- that's excellent.

My wife and I stayed here on a whim and this was a great choice! No kids or pets allowed, bed and breakfast hotel, walkable to all the things downtown Foley. It is very old, and my wife really enjoyed the history. Food was amazing. We had an amazing quick trip and will plan to stay here again.
