Nothing fancy, just clean, comfortable, helpful staff and wonderful location. Walked from train station and to all of the sites. It’s very old school, which is my preference. The complimentary breakfast is at a sweet cafe around the corner. Loved it! There isn’t a big lobby/common area but we were out being tourists daylight til after dark so it didn’t matter to us.

My daughter and I were pleasantly surprised with the hotel! We were warmly greeted and kindly treated. The location was superb! It’s in walking distance to many of the points of interests that brought us to Florence. We liked the hotel so much that we kept extending our stay. The train station and the underground are in walking distance for our day trips. We appreciated the artwork in the rooms. Grateful for the lift there when dealing with luggage. We felt safe and secure. The people at the front desk provided helpful advice. The only thing is that I wish the air conditioner worked better. I’d definitely would return to Florence and stay here again. It couldn’t happen soon enough! Eileen

This accomodation is well located, about 7-10 minutes walking distance from Santa Maria di Novella train station. It's a historical building so the lift only fits for two or three people, otherwise you have to go up the spiral stairs. We stayed here from June 9-11 and were pleasantly greeted by Vincent on reception(third floor of the building), who also showed us our quadruple room; it looked right into busy Via Panzani, but no noise bothered us from outside and we had peace and quiet on our sleep. This room is ideal for families because it has two bedrooms so it gives couples some privacy. Our teens had two twins and here comes the weird configuration: although the toilet and bathroom sink was situated right in the middle of both bedrooms, you had to walk into the twin bedroom in order to get into the shower, thankfully the shower was comfortable and toiletries were decent so for two nights we did'nt mind that much. Our fare also included basic breakfast and dinner at two nearby restaurants only a few meters from the hotel. From 7pm, reception is closed so the only way you could get inside is by entering a code. We felt safe and secured the entire stay, rooms were dated but clean and location couldn't be better, everything was at walking distance: shops, restaurants, Santa Maria dei Fiore Cathedral, Galleria della Accademia, Ponte Vecchio, and even the bus stop for Pisa tours.

We chose this place due to its proximity to the station and the center. Some rooms and the bathroom are more spacious, others much less, although a safe and fridge are available, they just need to be modernised; in particular, given that it is the first thing you see, the entrance to the building and the reception. The hotel staff, however helpful and kind. However, the breakfast served in a nearby restaurant is good, also excellent as a pizzeria/restaurant with a very kind and friendly owner and staff.

We stayed at this hotel over the Easter holidays. Terrible experience, absolutely not to be repeated: price for a similar hotel is excessively expensive; poor cleanliness, and in particular one of the rooms we stayed in was filled with a very bad smell of cigarette smoke; reception almost absent and inaccessible as it is located on the third floor of an old building, with a cramped and suffocating lift, and stairs that recall those of the tower of Pisa! The only positive note is the strategic position, 3 minutes from Piazza Duomo. We strongly advise against it to everyone, we will never go back!!!

Excellent location, friendly staff but unfortunately the room was dirty, a clearly visible layer of dust on the desk, hair and dander in the shower, otherwise we had a good time, too bad the cleanliness was a bit poor.

I don't understand how they have three stars. This hotel is really embarrassing: it cannot be called a hotel since they have created rooms from an apartment. There isn't even a hall where you can stay for 10 minutes before going up to your room. And it cannot even be referred to as a B&B because there is no space for breakfast, just a small, dirty, dark and smelly room in which there is a coffee stain. The rooms are old, with stains on the walls, non-soundproof windows, an unusable shower and an even worse bed head! On Saturday evening a terrible sewage smell had invaded the third floor, making one feel sick. The only positive thing is the proximity to the center, but you can find better. Three stars is unthinkable!

Excellent hotel located in a strategic position halfway between the train station and the historic center of Florence. It offers excellent value for money compared to similar facilities nearby. The girls at reception make a nice welcome: really courteous and helpful. The cleanliness of the rooms and the soundproofing are good despite the central location. The advice I would like to give is to organize yourself to offer breakfast in the hotel because it would be a further plus.

Dilapidated structure, mold on the bathroom roof (not equipped with windows), very old and poorly functioning air conditioner that gave off a bad smell. Cleanliness at the limits of decency. Sleeping was a nightmare between the heat of the room and the noise (the windows do not soundproof anything). The only positive note I can point out is the very central location, however we noticed many other central and more well-kept structures. Having a small child, all this really caused us great inconvenience, unfortunately making our stay truly unpleasant. I strongly advise against it.

Hotel located in the center (halfway between the station and Piazza del Duomo) and therefore very convenient. Possibility to leave your luggage before check in. Small but clean room with minibar, small balcony overlooking the cathedral. The bathroom is also quite spacious. Daily cleaning and friendly staff! A good base for Florence 😊

We paid €500 as a holiday bonus for a service that was absolutely not up to par. Tiny room with a ridiculous bathroom (not even a bidet). The two-night package included two breakfasts and one dinner: mediocre breakfast and dinner at the level of a school canteen where we were treated to a decidedly lower quality service than that of other customers, probably because the budget offered by the hotel was ridiculous. Good location but services not up to the price paid. We felt cheated.

Delusion. We had chosen it because it was in the center, but an experience to cancel. Starting with the very small lift and to get there you have to climb a winding flight of steps. Clean, comfortable but poorly decorated room. Very old furniture, even worse arranged and malfunctioning shutters. Small bathroom and shower in another room, however, there was a very serious inconvenience due to lack of hot water which was resolved after about three quarters of an hour. Breakfast to be consumed at the bar outside the structure, but at least that was decent. We expected better.

Excellent location near the main points of interest. Very disappointing the accommodation assigned with separate bathroom from the shower. Pretty rough cleaning. Overall pleasant breakfast, but surprisingly served in a bar nearby the structure. Reception working until 19:00. Availability in the baggage service before check-in and after check-out.

In this hotel we found everything a tourist expects... Friendliness... Cleanliness and a beautiful location... Already from booking we found maximum availability and kindness on the part of Mr. Giovanni and Mr. Vincenzo... The hotel is located 5 minutes from the station and on the main road... The beautiful rooms decorated with paintings by the painters after whom the rooms take their name... The rooms are fresh and clean and above all spacious... We have stayed from 24 to 27 June rooms 23 and 25... We had the half board formula... The bar where the structure is located for breakfast is in front of the structure... The lady at Bar Gallo is very kind and very helpful... For for lunch, however, the structure relies on the Giglio Rosso restaurant... What can I say, the restaurant as well as the hotel has remained in our hearts... Friendly, polite staff and cleanliness and exquisite food... Special thanks to the hotel which on the 27th that we left the room given the excessive heat, we called and asked if we could hang out in the hotel lobby since we had children and the train left at 7pm... Both the girl who I don't remember the name and Mr. Giovanni welcomed us calmly... Highly recommended and if one day we were to return to Florence we would already know where to stay.
