This might have been the most classy and tidiest motor lodge I’ve ever been to. It’s at the level of at least a 4 star hotel.

We got there about 2:00. They told us check in was at 3:00. They told us we could check in early for an additional $20/room. We told them we would just hang out and have some lunch in their cafe (lunch was practically inedible, we ate very little of it). We did not agree to have early check in, but they charged us the $20/room anyway. I took a shower when I got to my room and all the towels were still damp. The rooms and bathroom were painted black, which made it very gloomy, and I had to use my flashlight to find the lightswitch in the bathroom. I would never stay there again, nor would I recommend it.

This is the most family friendly hotel in flagstaff! They have everything you need to have a wonderful time with your kids. We left our phone behind in the room and just enjoyed the game room, restaurant, yard games, pool! The fire pits outside at night were so very relaxing aswell. When we go to Flagstaff from now on we are staying here.

This is a fun place to stay with a great vibe. It’s been 3 years since they opened and they have not kept up with some maintenance. Chipping paint and other shortcuts for a room that costs almost $300 a night. Stay poolside if you can because the exterior rooms are less pleasant and have more run down exteriors.

A Hotel experience doesn’t get any better than this. This Hotel is a whole vibe. The rooms are clean and the soundproofing was impressive. We will return and stay more than just a night. Beds were incredibly comfortable and the signature scent in the rooms makes your stay so yummy. In the evening sit by the fire and enjoy a chill lounge area on the beautiful patio.

As a family of four, we enjoyed our stay at HCML and would stay again if back in the area in the future. The rooms were minimal and comfortable. The in-room coffee amenities were delicious - nicer than comparable hotel/motel offerings. We didn’t get to use the pool, since the weather was still a bit cool, but the outdoor fire pits and green space was perfect for relaxing. Restaurant food/drink offerings were delicious, if a tad pricy. NOTE: Per regulations, no outside food is allowed in the public spaces - that includes the outdoor seating and fire pit area - only in rooms. While this is understandable, there is not enough room for a party of four to eat at the bistro-sized tables in the rooms.

⸻ We spent one night there. The hotel had a cozy and welcoming atmosphere with a nice lobby, game room, outdoor fireplaces, and a bar—all of which made it feel like a friendly, family-oriented place. The rooms are a bit of a walk from the lobby, but they’re spacious, clean, and well-equipped with a coffee maker and other amenities. One interesting touch was the old-fashioned radio cassette player in the room. The swimming pool looked great, but it was too cold outside to use it during our stay. For breakfast, there’s a shop inside the hotel where you can find high-quality sandwiches and breakfast plates. While the room rate was reasonable, the breakfast was on the expensive side. I especially loved the game room, which had billiards and many other fun games—it added a nice touch to the overall experience.
