La Darsena Fiumicino

Charming place to stay, three lovely rooms with private bath and private patio with the sounds of birds singing (not sure if all rooms have a patio). 10 minutes walk to the riverfront restaurants. If you like garden courtyard settings, check out Essenze restaurant in this area. Most importantly, they offer a shuttle service to / from the airport for 20 euros, rather than the taxi fee of 35 euros minimum. The airport is just 10 minutes away without traffic. Francesco and his wife were really welcoming and helpful. Will definitely stay here again when I’m in Rome! 👍

Our stay at La Darsena di Fiumicino was truly wonderful. The property is exceptionally clean, beautifully decorated, and incredibly comfortable. The location is excellent—a few minutes' drive to the airport and just a short walk from the car rental place we used for our trip in Italy. This made picking up and returning our car extremely easy, and also allowed us to save on rental costs (we stayed here twice, upon arrival and departure). Additionally, the staff were incredibly welcoming, helpful, and attentive, making us feel at home immediately. The breakfast was delicious, offering a great start to the day (please note that breakfast is Italy-style; only sweets, not savory food as it is typical in Italy). They also provided a convenient shuttle service from the property to the airport for departures (though pickups from the airport are not possible due to local regulations).
