Wingate by Wyndham Fishkill

Room was dirty and very dated. Bare electric wires exposed. Heat-AC unit never shut off and very loud, Water coming in at the top of the unit. Shower curtain torn, blow dryer broken, no drain at sink, complimentary shampoo and conditioner bottles empty. Overall the entire place is very run down and dirty. We left and moved to another hotel.

check smooth and friendly but the breakfast coffee really can't acceptable hope can improve.

The property is clean and safe. Front desk team is lovely! Good option for anyone traveling with a wheelchair or needing an accessible room.

My wife and I have stayed at Wingate, Fishkill on three other occasions. Each stay was quiet, comfortable and reasonably priced. On July 1, navigating I-84 ln a heavy downpour, we missed our 9-N exit, and our night's stay, by completely passing it. We didn't realize until rain stopped, and we saw the Pennsylvania line that our Wingate stay was miles behind us. Needing to make a decision to turn back or drive on, we headed reluctantly headed for home.

Expect Wingate to be a mid- level Wyndham property but this one was below expectations. Upon arrival the tiny lobby was very worn and unappealing. Plexiglass shielding the front desk should have been removed after COVID ended. Booked a king room with a sofa sitting area but was told no rooms have sofas? Took the elevator to the fourth floor but it bounced its way slowly up to the floor but no lights to tell you what floor you were on. Hall was very dark and steel room doors were crudely painted dark blue. Could only enter room thru stuck door by hitting shoulder to get it opened. Room was only acceptable experience in that the floor and walls were somewhat new. However bed was very uncomfortable and the springs made noise when you moved. Table lamp and coffee maker on stand but no outlets to plug them in. Tub was old but spray painted white - very slippery and dangerous with no mat or hand bars in shower. In the morning went down for the breakfast in tiny room alongside the lobby. Limited variety and lack of cleanliness made us skip this place. Overall, as long time Wyndham Gold members, this property is unsuitable and should be renovated. Staff need professional training as well. Will not stay here again and will not recommend to friends or family.

The staff was super nice & friendly… But one rolling cart had flat tires, so it wouldn’t roll, the new tv remote wouldn’t turn up/down the volume.. the sheets felt damp, like from air conditioner maybe, there was hair on our sheets (probably from making bed) Then saw a cockroach on the last morning before checking out.. & ice machine was broken.. kinda low on my standards ..
