Had an early evening meal, fabulous food, reasonably priced, would recommend to others and if in area again would certainly return

The room was based out the back of the inn/pub. It was a nice little room, fairly cosy and clean. We only checked in, then went back out and didn't come back till late and went to bed. A decent night's sleep. However, when we came to have a shower, there was no hot water, even leaving the water running for 5 mins. At breakfast, another couple had experienced the same problem, and whete told that there was no manager around until midday. We weren't going to wait until then, especially as check-out was 11am. I told the person in the kitchen who would "look into it ". This all being said, it was clean, breakfast was good and location was ideal.

Having wanted to attend the Chichester Festival for years, it has finally happened. Whilst searching for accommodation, I came upon The Bull’s Head which ticked the boxes. When we arrived we wondered about access to Chichester but the regular, excellent bus service is a real plus and saves car parking in the city. Room 1 was so quiet, well appointed and stocked with plenty of tea, coffee, bottled water etc. 2 nights of good sleep which says a lot. The food was excellent. Pre- ordered breakfasts were absolutely spot on and the evening meal we had was top quality. In fact, the fish pie was the best I’ve ever tasted! Really friendly staff, an excellent garden area, a warm welcome and fabulous food. I should not spread the word lest it becomes too busy but I hope there’ll be room for a return visit. Initial experiences set the tone in my opinion, so big easily accessible car park, outdoor area neat and tidy with plenty of tables well spaced out, a great welcome in what was obviously very clean, well presented pub. There are 4 rooms to the rear of the property, no.4 was not a disappointment having everything in the room as advertised and again spotlessly clean. Nice private area outside with table etc a real bonus. Both the front of the pub and the rear were bedecked in well tendered flowers. Now the food, some of the best "pub" food I have ever tasted, on the first night the special beef medallions were just "melt in the mouth" and the Sunday roast fantastic. Breakfasts were ordered the day before and cooked to order. Throughout all food was well presented and the portions were very generous.

We had a wonderful stay here. The rooms were spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, with a modern ensuite. The pub itself was charming in a beautiful area,the staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was made to order with a variety of choices and the dinner was absolutely delicious. As a group of four having a ladies get away it was absolutely perfect. We would all highly recommend a visit here.

Small character pub. Rooms across garden, small but clean. Well appointed bathroom. Bed a little firm for my taste, very thin small quilt for a double bed, would not have covered 2 people. Gluten free items on menu that could not be served for dinner. Not possible to create a full main course from items available.
