Another structure is under construction in fact they know how to work in front of the sea and have put the pylons for another pier and a 12 room hotel is almost finished and is located near the port. The guest house is located a few steps from the sea, from one of the passages to the reef (which can be reached with a few fin strokes), from the bikini beach equipped with sunbeds and umbrella. Kihaa holiday house has 4 bedrooms, 1 larger with a double bed and a single bed and 3 with a double bed. The rooms are basic but spacious and comfortable and equipped with perfectly functioning and silent air conditioning, they consist of a bed with 2 bedside tables, a wardrobe, 2 cabinets and a mini bar. The bathroom is very large with a semi-open shower as in Maldivian style. Each room has its own private veranda with space to hang out wet costumes or towels. There is a shared open space with chairs and a small table, lines to hang out the washing and there is a laundry corner with a washing machine available. The structure is completed by another shared space with dining tables, a fridge with water always available and a kettle for tea and coffee, a toaster and some food always available such as bread for toast and jam. I chose the half-board formula with breakfast and dinner. Breakfast is brought every morning by the owner and are home-cooked things in Maldivian style, very good, dinner is eaten at the restaurant where you eat really well. Some evenings dinner is prepared at the guest house, for example grilled fish caught by the guests. Mohamed is a very attentive and present host, always ready to satisfy any request of the guests or to give advice. His brother Adam accompanied me snorkeling and wherever I wanted to go including the excursion to the turtle reef and explained some local customs to me.
