Besonderes Hideaway mitten im Regenwald. Tolle Ausstattung und sehr nettes Personal. Restaurant in der Anlage und tolle Bar mit täglich wechselnden Gincocktail. Cooler Pool mitten im Dschungel ….. wir waren zwei Nächte, was genau richtig war. Eine wirklich besondere Unterkunft, die zwar nicht ganz günstig ist, aber durch die Lage generell und die Art der Zimmer/Bungalows für unsere Reise ein Highlight darstellte.

From the moment we arrived at Silky Oaks Lodge, we felt at home. You are personally escorted to your private cabin and all the amenities (and there are SO MANY) are carefully explained by your host. You honestly feel as though you have left the rest of the world behind as you totally unwind and relax at this magnificent property. We had a Riverhouse cabin, and the views and sounds of the river are among the most relaxing I have ever experienced. The hammock was my afternoon retreat with a book and a snooze! The outdoor bathtub was so special - you truly felt as though you were bathing miles away, deep in the rainforest. I had an exquisite 2-hour spa treatment. Be certain to carve out some time for a spa treatment (or two). We experienced this magnificent property as part of an organized tour, but we quickly decided a return trip here on a future visit to Australia is a must. Ben, Glen and the entire team at Silky Oaks are the epitome of what exceptional service looks and feels like. Thank you for making this such a special visit!

I can’t speak more highly of the Silky Oaks experience. From the moment the manager met my at the car with an umbrella to the cool towels and champagne in the lounge the service goes above and beyond and is so friendly. The location is stunning, the rooms great, food amazing. I can’t wait to go back, Iay not be able to holiday anywhere else after experiencing Sulky Oaks.

We wish we would have stayed longer. The property is beautiful, really immersive in the rainforest. The staff go above and beyond to make sure you are happy and have everything you need. I wish the alcohol was included as it was a steep charge but worth it to stay in such a beautiful place.

This was definitely one of the most unique accomodations that we have ever stayed in. It is a mostly outdoor environment in the public areas with the bulk of the restaurant and lounging areas set a good 25 feet above ground level at the rear, so the view and feel you have is one of being in the trees. A river flows behind the property adding interest to the view as well as a place to explore. the rooms / cabins look very rustic on the outside but are spacious and comfortable within. The hammock on the outside terrace and the big outside bath are fun and relaxing. Good showers, nice bathroom and tea and coffee making facilities are good. Of course all manner of drinks and snacks are available as part of the package we were on. Dining was good with a changing menu each evening along with a classics menu that included a steak etc. The hotel supplies bug spray and you do need it, but having applied it we were fine. Service was friendly and willing and we enjoyed our meals of breakfasts and dinners. When it rains it really rains and so the complimentary umbrellas are necessary for the walk back to the cabins, and if you are a little less mobile you should ask for one that is close by because the paths and bridges are not very even. There is a gym, a lovely open air pool and self service laundry if you want it. Overall we had three fun nights and got to stay in a treehouse hotel in a rain forest. Quite an experience.

This is an absolutely lovely hotel. The room we had was private, spacious, and exceptionally well designed. The main lodge is stunning. The aspect on the river is delightful. The food was delicious. Service was excellent. It and the other Baillie property (Longitide 131) were both highlights of our visit to Australia.

Gorgeous Stay, but Watch Your Charges Silky Oaks Lodge is undeniably stunning, with breathtaking views of the Daintree Rainforest and a sense of serenity that makes it feel like paradise. Every angle of this property is so luxurious. However, I have to caution future guests about their billing practices. I was charged twice for my stay, and after two months, the issue still hasn’t been fully resolved. Despite reaching out multiple times, their proposed solution required me to provide my bank account information—a step I am uncomfortable taking, especially given the circumstances. While the property itself is remarkable, this experience left a sour note. If you choose to stay here, double-check your invoices and monitor your charges closely. The setting is magical, but the handling of financial matters fell far short of expectations.
