It started out good then it ended bad. They are rude and always wanna be right and controlling.

My expectations for this motel weren't much, basically a clean, functional, safe room and good service. We received none of these. When booking and checking in, I asked for a quiet room and instead, received a room next to two barking dogs. I complained to the front desk and was told that quiet hours started at 10 p.m. and nothing could be done till then. Our room was in a sad, deplorable shape. The out-of-the-way carpeted areas were filthy. The overhead light in the toilet/bath area when switched on, would turn off and on intermittently. Very often off for several minutes and very much an issue when the door is closed. The tub and sink drain stoppers were both missing--the sink one in a cabinet under the sink. Although the switch for the Jacuzzi appeared to work, there was no way to take a bath with the drain stopper missing. The evacuation placard, usually found on the inside of the motel room door, was broken and in pieces under the desk. The first night we stayed here we realized that the room darkening panel of the window curtain/drape was missing and one could see clearly enough in the room at night to easily walk around. From the outside, one could see that other rooms nearby had them in place. We stayed here 3 nights--this was a working trip--and the first morning we left we asked the front desk for 3 clean towels. As housekeeping didn't open till 10 a.m. we were told they would be left in the main office for us to pick up on our return. When we returned that evening, around 9 p.m., to pick them up, the person on duty told us that we would have to return our soiled/dirty towels to get clean ones! Additionally, upon trying to enter our room, we learned both our keys did not work! We had to return two times to the front desk; once to fix our keys and a second time to give them our dirty towels to replace them! When fixing our keys, we told the employee we were staying a total of 3 nights and to please correct that in the system so that this wouldn't occur again. She stated she would. Apparently she did not. The 2nd morning before leaving we brought our dirty towels with us in preparation and upon our return that night, exchanged them with the male employee on duty. I told him about the problems with our keys the night before and he assured me they would work. Both keys didn't work again and we had to again go to the front desk to have them fixed! He stated it might be because they may have been in contact with cell phones or metal, so that third last night we were there, we sandwiched the room keys between two cell phones and they worked just fine the next morning. The last morning upon checkout, I asked the two women at the front desk--one of them a manager--regarding the issues with the room, our keys, and the towels. She stated that bringing ones dirty towels to the office for receiving clean ones was not their standard operational procedure, however, did not state that it would be addressed. I try giving peop
