Crows Nest Caravan Park

In perfect spot for me 3ml to Filey on the coastal path and 5ml to Scarborough Bus stop just a short walk. Everywhere was clean and tidy. Bar and pool weren't open, early March, but looked well after. Two different locals I met mentioned it was one of the best in the area. Would definitely go back

Despite it being half term with lots of families and children there, the pool (which is the reason that we booked this place) was closed "for the season", as was the shop. People had gone to some trouble to decorate their pitches for halloween. However it appears that the pumpkins and people's muddy shoes had been washed out in the pot washing area and it had blocked up. The sinks were filthy and full of food debris and mud and the drain was blocked. It was impossible to wash pots there as you were standing in a large puddle of filthy water. Despite reporting this it remained blocked throughout our stay. The showers were cold, and shabby and the cubicles were too small when I was trying to shower my grandchildren. It was barely big enough for me, let alone adding a six year old or 4 year old. We tried walking down to the costal path but it was an absolute mud bath - could do with some hardcore down. Looked at the "award winning showers" further up the park. They were cold and unpleasant - the floor never dried. Not sure why they have won an award - been to many different camp sites where the showers were clean, warm and welcoming. I certainly didn't want my grandchildren to use them. The only pleasant thing was the play park which my grandchildren enjoyed - though it does need some repair work doing to it. Will never go back. Lesson learned.

Lovely clean well kept site it was just a shame the pool was closed I understand it’s out of high season and yes some of that was my fault but a bit clearer on website would be helpful but apart from that it’s a really clean site kids loved the park.

It was ok. Sadly pool and shop already closed for the season even though it was half term. We thought from the booking info that we had a sea view but didn’t. Toilets showers could do with a make over although they would have been amazing when new. Good pot wash but no freezer facilities like most camp sites. Overall it was ok but not one on my list to revisit. Where we were pitched in our van it felt like a load of caravans on a car park not very pleasing to the eye.

We used the site as a base ( 2 oldies ) so for us it was " ok " but I would not return, the photos make it look like you have a sea view but you don't, We felt so sorry for the kids as it was half term and the pool was closed, the shop was closed and chippy was closed, the atmosphere was dim, not sure if the bar or entertainment was on, A young couple with children broke down with their caravan literally on the door step of the site, they asked for help but were refused, luckily we had a towbar on our van and towed their van on to the pitch,

Arrived last day of September to be told by reception that the bar and shop is closed!! Website says from 1st October! Lack of communication on Website! No hosepipe to hook up for water on the second night and the guy in reception absolutely no help whatsoever! Would definitely not stay again!!
