we had a two night B&B stay booked. upon arrival the hotel was closed, please avoid this hotel and any other hotel in the OYO group. i cant explain how disappointing and angry we were. we were moved to another hotel in Middlesbrough that was open but i have to say it also should be closed.

Still showing as being open and bookable online even though it is clearly abandoned. We booked for two nights through a very well known website and was appalled when we arrived to find it almost derelict! Gardens are overgrown and there are padlocks on the front door. Several of the windows are broken and the car park is a right mess.

arrived 14th match to find the hotel closed...managed to find a telephone number and they said they were closed for refurbishment and had been for months ( we had booked only a few weeks ago) awful service please stay away...have never had such an experience 😢

very reasonable cost. Food was good and a handy place for visiting other villages. There was music downstairs on the night we were there and the sound travelled upstirs. Make sure you don't stay in a room over the entertainment area!

Nice hotel when it was open but it has been closed for over 2 years so why have I been asked to write a review on it ????? If it ever reopens it could be made nice especially as they had a small pool & Jacuzzi. and only an easy bus/car ride to centre of Durham

This place is CLOSED and has been for over two years Can’t understand why trip advisor has not blocked this hotel as it’s been closed for years and is derelict It’s a ghost hotel falling apart and down
