Property Description
Come and escape in our "Oasis" condo at Amelia Landings! Nestled in a grove of 100 year old live oak trees draped in Spanish moss, is your first floor 2 bedroom / 2 bath private villa. We have attempted to supply you with all you need for a fabulous stay on our lovely island. Our condo is tastefully decorated and boasts bleached maple hardwood floors throughout the main living areas and bedrooms with sea foam green ceramic tile in the kitchen to give it a real beach feeling. Beautiful lighting throughout with top-notch ceiling fans in both bedrooms and on the screened-in lanai.
Our place offers a host of amenities including tennis racquets and pool noodles for the little ones. We have included 4+ beach chairs, a beach umbrella and a handy cooler with large wheels makes it a breeze to get your cold beverages and snacks onto the beach. There are several fine and family-style restaurants on the beach or within a short walking distance from both the beach and the condo, as well as a fabulous ice cream shack. There is a surf shop and a beach/bike rental shop across the street from the beach.
The kitchen has spectacular all solid wood maple shaker style cabinets and is fully stocked including everything you would expect including a coffee maker, basic cooking pots & pans and of course dishes, cups, glasses, wine glasses, flatware, and baking pans. The living room has a very comfortable full sized couch as well as a matching love seat to relax in while reading or watching the 60 inch HD flat screen TV. We have a beginning collection of books for your downtime from the beach or pool.
Note: The maximum number of adult guests permitted are 4.
Our villa measures 815 square feet with an open floor plan connecting the kitchen, dining and living areas. It is on the first floor of a three-story building closest to the fishing pond (catch and release). An Olympic sized swimming pool, tennis court and picnic/grill area are located one building away. The condo is elevated five steps from ground level and does not have a ramp (it is NOT handicap accessible). Amelia Landings is a pet-free community so no pets are allowed on the premises. We have a strict No Smoking policy (severe allergies…). There is ample free parking.
The rich history and natural beauty of Amelia Island begs of you to indulge in the creation of memories that will last a lifetime. This is why we manifested this get-away. The miles of pristine beaches, spectacular parks, clear, calm Atlantic waters and quaint charm has lured generations of travelers to Amelia Island. Our family is no exception.
Access to the beach from Amelia Landings is a short stroll down the sidewalk at the front of the complex. There is also a small free parking area if you prefer not to walk or you may choose to drop the family off if the lot is full (weekends are particularly busy and it can fill up early). Although we set the villa up as a retreat for our family and friends to escape to, many families with youngsters, groups of golfers and friends getting away for a long weekend have found it to be perfect as well.
Amelia Island is consistently rated in the top 10 island vacation destinations and was a US Travelers Choice 2013 Winner (#9), “Amelia Island loves a (family-friendly) party! The small Sea Island is particularly well known for two annual festivals: the Amelia Island Concours d’Elegance and the Isle of Eight Flags Shrimp Festival. But there’s plenty to do year-round. Hit the beach for some water sports, explore the island on horseback, take in a show at a community theater or just wander around the charming historic district. The Amelia Island Museum of History offers educational walking tours, including a spooky Ghost Tour that "will give you delicious chills." Nestled off the coast of northeastern Florida, just over the border from Georgia, Amelia Island is the last of the southern barrier islands that are made up of pristine, dune-filled beaches. Four major state parks and a national park are within reach of this quiet, preserved stretch of land where hiking, biking, horseback riding and camping helps your family escape our technology-filled world. There's history here, as well, with Fort Clinch reminding of Florida's place in the Civil and Spanish American Wars. Moss-draped, centuries-old oaks pave the way into Fernandina Beach, a historic town filled with boutiques and homes. Amelia Island has a mild climate throughout most of the year, growing hot and humid in the summer months, which makes ideal weather for canoeing, kayaking and sailing.

Quick get away
This place was very nice and clean. The location was minutes from the beach by either foot or car. It was also just minutes away from everything on the island. Neither the beach or pool were crowded this weekend. Location was quiet. I definitely would stay here again.

Secluded Getaway
We really enjoyed our stay at this comfortable, secluded villa. Nicely decorated and everything thing you need. The beach is just a couple blocks away. Lots of restaurants nearby and a few minutes to downtown Fernandina. Michelle will respond quickly to any questions you may have. I will definitely consider staying here again ( I usually need a bigger place)
