Unfortunately room not as described in marketing pictures Please be warned the hotel do not match your rooms nor make your stay any more welcoming First two rooms offered had dirty bedding & poor shower Third room had to accept but bathroom could have been modernised to mirror that of the photo on the website Hotel itself is beautiful

This hotel was decent, featuring spacious bedrooms and various amenities, but it appeared quite old and lacked proper maintenance. Upon our arrival, the room had a strong smell of smoke, and the kettle provided in the bedroom was not very clean. We only stayed for one night and did not try the food, but the foyer and reception area had an ancient charm that I appreciated. It would be great if the rooms could match that same elegant look.

Have stayed at Orwell Hotel many times. First time in 2002! Great location, very comfortable and clean, great breakfasts, plenty of lounge space. My only quibble was that hotel didn't really seem geared up for dinners/lunches, maybe there is less demand for these nowadays. In the past the main dining room has been used and it was more formal/smarter.

The first room I checked in, I couldn't get in with my card, the door lock was broken, I checked in again and got another room. The equipment and furniture in the room were too old, and the bedding and carpets were not very clean. If you are lucky enough to live in a room with windows facing the outside, Congratulations to you, your house can be ventilated. You can feel it internally. The reception during check-in and check-out was very good, no problem.

Returned today from our one night stay . Room 103 was lovely . Comfortable bed and the room was clean plus had a really cosy feel to it. The hotel itself is gorgeous . There is renovations going on . But this didn’t bother us. The breakfast was very tasty and quite a variety to choose from. I would definitely come back again . Town and beach is within walking distance .

No running water .room not fit for purpose. Refused a refund. So we didn't stay.while waiting to get details to write to the manager the receptionist gave our room to another couple
