Six Senses Zil Pasyon

We had the pleasure of celebrating our honeymoon at Six Senses Zil Pasyon, and despite a rocky start (we missed our flight and arrived a day late), the warm welcome we received immediately made up for it. Our villa was beautifully prepared, and we were greeted personally by Andrew, the General Manager, Garry from the Front Office, and our dedicated GEM, Chantelle. This thoughtful welcome truly set the tone for our stay. Highlights of Our Stay: Snorkeling with Stan was unforgettable—we saw numerous turtles and vibrant marine life. Hiking with Jonathan was another favorite; he was not only knowledgeable but also fun and engaging, bringing the island's natural beauty and history to life. Chantelle, our GEM, was exceptional from start to finish. She went above and beyond to personalize our experience, decorating our room daily, surprising us with fresh-picked fruits and spices like lemongrass and starfruit (the lemongrass tea became our favorite!), and showing us around the island. Instead of booking a photographer, she generously took professional-looking photos for us, even hiking up the hill with us to catch a perfect sunset view. We saw her constantly working—from guest transport to reception—and her attentiveness, energy, and kindness made our stay truly special. We ended our honeymoon with a romantic private dinner in our villa. Chantelle again worked her magic with the decoration and even surprised us with a beautiful cake. She was truly the heart of our experience, and we hope to meet her again. Some Challenges We Faced: There were a few areas that did not meet the standards expected of such a resort. Housekeeping was inconsistent—we waited over two hours (after repeated calls) for an iron and board, and our villa often lacked basic amenities like shampoo. The room was not cleaned properly on several occasions, and the attitude of the housekeeping staff was disappointing. Food & Beverage service at breakfast was another weak point. The restaurant was often chaotic, and staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive. As a gluten-free couple, we had to constantly remind the team about our dietary needs, which made meals unnecessarily stressful. We also faced an issue during our excursion to La Digue. Despite having pre-booked the boat, we arrived at the jetty to find it full due to non-booked guests joining in. This created a frustrating delay, but thanks to Chantelle’s quick action and advocacy, we were eventually upgraded to a larger boat. Her support turned the situation around, but better organization would’ve prevented the issue altogether. Final Thoughts: Despite a few service hiccups, our overall experience at Six Senses Zil Pasyon was memorable, thanks largely to the island’s natural beauty and the incredible effort of our GEM Chantelle. Absolutely horrible service!My room was not even clean..Bathroom was a bit dirty..staff was lousy..to check in was very unpleasant..it was all over the place !i was denied the restaurant and amenities like the spa!The island is general was boring…Like i said staff was lousy and arrogant!What is going on???
