GOOD: Very nice and clean facility, very friendly and helpful staff. Johnny at the front desk very helpful when I brought the several issues about room 437 to him. The breakfast is really great. All the usual stuff you see at nice but generic hotel free breakfasts, but has a wonderful made to order omelets (or eggs cooked to order). Wonderful. And instead of the cheap vending-machine Danish you usually see on these, they had fresh baked (on premises) danish that were super light and flaky. Very nice fresh fruit as well. BAD: Hilton has the no-touch, no-front-desk checkin through the HH app. Cool. BUT this hotel has a system where you need a room key card inserted in a slot a few feet away from the door for the main room light switch to work. So you happily walk straight to your room at 10pm, flip the switch, and then have to pull out your phone to wander around the room trying to find a light that works. Even without the no-touch checkin, it's a dumb system in the name of "Eco-friendly". I found out the next day why my lights didn't work when I reported it as a maintenance issue. (They also gave me handout with that and other info I would have gotten if I checked in at front desk... why not just stick it on the door?) Then the toilet flush handle was literally not attached to the toilet (not bolted inside the tank). The water pressure in the sink was horrible, and the water barely lukewarm (morning, mid-morning, evening, very late at night). I felt like I was at summer camp trying to shave. Shower was good, so it was just that fixture. I figured I could fill the ice bucket with warm water from the kitchenette sink (a bit better pressure, still just warm) and pour it into the bathroom sink, but the drain stopper only slowed the drainage. I reported the issues to front desk the morning after I got there, and by the time I got back it was clear they had been there since toilet was fixed. But sink was not. I just dealt with it the next three days because I wasn't there to go round and round on trying to get things addressed. Another complaint - they have no info on the TV system. It's not very robust, just maybe 40-50 channels. But there is no Guide channel, not do they give you info on the provider to find the channel/schedule info online. Second night internet was down all evening. The issues were not so horrible but certainly gave a bad impression... what was the worst part was that someone had to have known the toilet was broken and the water pressure was bad before I got there. After being notified, I assume they couldn't do anything with the water pressure/temp or decided that it was fine. Yes, I could have asked for a different room. I reported the issues. True customer service would have made sure they were really fixed, and/or reached out to me to verify. The option of repeatedly going back to try to get a proper response is me doing the hotel's job.
