An absolute gem in Faro! Our stay at A da Avó Guest House was perfect from start to finish. The place was spotless — the cleanliness was truly immaculate. The rooms are comfortable, beautifully maintained, and fully air-conditioned, which was a lifesaver in the summer heat. The staff and owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming, always ready to help with a smile. We felt genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Can’t wait to return — highly recommended!

Worst introduction to a new country and hotel ever. This hotel does not care about the people who stay, they just want the money. I won't go into details but truely awful.

Excellent endroit si on voyage sur un budget.
Magnifique séjour à Faro. Nous avons réservé la suite ce qui nous permettait d'avoir notre salle de bain privée. La suite était grande et propre. Le lit était correct, mais pas des plus confortable. Dans la cuisine commune se trouvait tout ce dont nous avions besoin pour nous faire à déjeuner et sinon un déjeuner était offert gratuitement à partir de 9h00. Un extra très apprécié qui n'était pas mentionné lors de notre réservation. Petit hic, le logement n'est pas très bien insonorisé des bruits extérieurs. Sans bouchons pour les oreilles cela pouvait être difficile de dormir.

We booked the last room expecting shared bathrooms and ended up with a large suite with a private bathroom. Not much interaction with staff, but the were friendly, it’s a little far from old town, (15 minute walk) but was quite charming. Located in a residential area. Breakfast was bread, cereal, nada, fruit. The rooms were charming and clean.

The drawback is if it’s rainy day, you won’t have much hot water for shower. The first night when we arrived at hotel was a rainy day so we barely had a hot shower. The host was super nice and will offer free breakfast.

Fantastisch onthaal!
Je ziet het niet aan de buitenkant, maar dit guesthouse is echt super! Er is zelfs een aparte televisiekamer. Ik had de kamers en suite met een prachtige parketvloer en mooie meubels. 3p zitbank, eethoekje, keukenblok en 2p bed. De bijzonder hartelijke gastheer heeft me het hele huis + dakterras laten zien. Er zijn 2 eet/huiskamers met elk 6 à 8 plaatsen, mooi servies en ik heb er gezellig gegeten met andere gasten. Fantastisch!

En natt innan avresa till Sverige. Helt ok. Ingick mycket enkel frukost som du fick servera dig själv. Sängarna för hårda för oss. Annars trevliga värdar.
