Disgusting Service – Gave Our Room to a Walk-In After an 8-Hour Drive This hotel is an absolute disgrace. We booked a room weeks in advance for July 14th. Not only did we receive confirmation, we even verified it in person on July 8th and 9th with two separate employees. They knew we were coming. They had every opportunity to honor the reservation. Instead, after we drove 8 hours, exhausted and expecting a place to rest, they told us the room had been canceled and given away to a walk-in guest. Yes — they gave our confirmed reservation to someone who just happened to walk in off the street. They called us after they did it, not to ask or check — just to let us know it was done. As if that somehow makes it acceptable. It doesn’t. We were left with no room, no support, and no option but to sleep in our car. After eight hours on the road. That’s not a mistake. That’s willful negligence and complete indifference to the guests they claim to care about. This hotel does not care about loyalty, reservations, or basic human decency. If they think they can make an extra dollar, they’ll sell your room out from under you without blinking. Save yourself the nightmare — stay literally anywhere else. This place is trash in a uniform. And the employees who work there don’t even look like they work there!!!

Hubby and I came down for a weekend to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. Upon check in I thought great, it’s like grand forks sleep inn and suites. Looked good and clean, front desk staff were great! Friendly and helpful with a sense in humour. We check in and was given room 214. That room had a very strong Oder, broken toilet paper holder as well with the toilet paper sitting on the floor upon arrival. The Oder was strong and immediately set off my allergies full blown, we opened the windows hoping that would be the solution. Sadly 45 min later and me not being able to breath I went down to ask for a different room. I’m never a complainer and I felt bad asking but there was no way staying 3 days was possible. The front desk staff that checked us in were no longer on shift and a new desk clerk was there. She was very understanding and gave us room 209. Upon enter it was great. No smell!! But looking closer you can see how it wasn’t all the clean. Lee around the toilet, on the back of the toilet seat. Something splashed / dripped down the door frame of the main door. Stains on the carpet , mini fridge door didn’t close, microwave plate would sit properly . Only 1 towel !! 1! This experience is nothing like what we get at the grand forks location. The floors are thin too so if your a light sleeper be aware you will hear thump thump thump… we had a heard of elephants above us that were up late and up early.. let’s just sleep wasn’t on the radar on this getaway… Needless to say it’s doubtful we would come back to this location. House keeping kept trying to get in constantly and saying it shows vacant?? It didn’t dawn on us at all why … I told them each time that we had switched rooms so maybe that’s why… Then upon check out I asked for a receipt and he couldn’t find us in the system? He said he remembered us checking in but we weren’t in there. He searched and said they had us as no shows in the system!!! So he printed out that one receipt and said he will look into it and email me back. Never got nothing by the time we got home. Once we arrived home I checked my master card and yes we were charged our initial stay the day we arrived.. then we were charged 2 no show fees plus some other sort of fee!!! 3 fees plus our original stay! So I have sent a email in hopes to see those charges reversed asap so I’m not stuck paying them before my bill is due . If no response in 24 hrs then I guess I’ll have to revert paying a long distance call to speak to the manager at that point! Over all not a pleasing experience and won’t be back
