Ammos Bay

The hotel we booked through TUI was beautiful. The beach is a stones throw away and is the best beach in the region from my opinion. It’s sandy, shallow and clear. The beach itself is busy but doesn’t feel overcrowded. We tended to venture over the rocks and sat on the quiet side. The hotel itself is spotless and kept very clean and tidy. The staff work very hard to keep everything running smoothly. The staff also are very attentive and helpful. Breakfast was plentiful and nicely organised. The pool area is very clean and tidy and perfect for chilling out around. We hired a car and there was lots of shady places to park it. We had the two adjoining rooms for us and the kids which was helpful as we had lots of room and the balcony was huge. We had three to choose from. Overall I would certainly recommend this hotel. It is better than the pictures show on TUI. It’s a quiet holiday not for people who are looking for a rowdy time with lots to do. You find your own fun and take in the relaxing nature and beauty of Ammoudia.

Wow, what a hidden gem of a beautiful, small, family run hotel on the perfectly quaint area of Ammoudia! The holiday began with a lovely warm welcome from Dimitris, he showed us to our rooms and was happy to teach us a bit of greek. The first afternoon of arrival was spent lounging on the most comfortable sun beds around the pool with views overlooking the beach and sea, the forst full day was kick started by a wonderful breakfast and the most divine greek yoghurt I've ever eaten! We then pent the rest of the day at the beach with is no more than 100m wall to the sea from the hotel, as I mentioned you can see it as you eat your breakfast. We was looked after by Evie, Alex, and Soteris, who make us feel like nothing was too much trouble and welcomed us as family. There is lively fresh orange juice and the most delicious snacks to choose from, again super comfortable sun loungers. I must also tell you a secret which is that Dimitris makes the best mango majito I have ever had in my life! The rooms are comfortable with lovely balconies and of course there is a mini fridge and most importantly a kettle for the average tea loving brit! Within a stones throw away from the hotel there are delicious tavernas offering the most delicious traditional greek food and the river close by offers a selection of boat trips and beautiful views of the sunset. Another mention is a trip to Lichonos beach which is a €30 taxi ride away, worth every penny as the water is beautiful there and a chance to do a banana boat! I will 100% come back to Ammos Bay hotel and feel so sad to be leaving, until we meet again!

This was an emergency holiday to get away from the UK weather. I usually go for a big hotel but on this occasion booked the Ammos without too much research. It turned out to be a really great choice. Its a small hotel but very clean,modern and tasteful. There is not much in the way of a restaurant but plenty alternatives very near bye. Very nice ,clean pool, room was comfortable (beds a bit hard). Staff were friendly and welcoming. Beach a stone throw away. Parga Town is about 10 miles away and very pretty but there is really no need to go there and anyway the beach is much better at Ammos Bay. Lovely clean soft sand, no pebbles,no seaweed, no shelving. A very gradual increase in depth so kids can play safely in the water even quite some way out. Lifeguard on the beach , sunbeds etc are free provided you buy a drink. We had a glorious time here and as a very fussy person I totally recommend the Ammos Bay for a relaxing stress free stay. Go for It!

Wow! You won’t regret coming to this hotel we are here currently and having the best time, the pool is underused as the beach is so near and great too. The town is walking distance, up the road and on the flat so very assessable. A number of local restaurants, so you could visit a different one every night.

Was so Happy to stay here with my daughter (4 yrs Old), my sister and mother. Very close to great sand Beach with clear water, shallow far out so good for kids. Not too many people in mid august so easy to get front row places at beach. Clean facilities, also the pool was always clean. Nice seating at pool and just beautiful cozy place. We had one Room with pool/sea view and one with a Big balcony and view over mountains in background. Nice to have a small refridgerator in our rooms! Service was the best in Ammoudia, we were so Happy to be there! Food in restaurant also very Nice and fair prices! We do not have one bad thing to say about our stay :-) Archeron river is very close and beautiful!

Fabulous place with well appointed rooms and friendly hosts. Really had a great holiday here, ideally located close to the beautiful sandy beach. The breakfast is extensive and varied day by day. A nice eating area by the pool. The WiFi was good throughout and the air conditioning was good and quiet!! It takes ten minutes to walk to the majority of the restaurants in this small resort town. The supermarket is around two minutes walk. We had a corner room on the ground floor with two balconies and it was ideal for what we needed. I have no issue in recommending this hotel.
