On 24 February 2025 we stayed for 3 nights at the royal Goddess Guest House. This a small guest house with a `big heart`. It is very easy to find from the main walled gate and is in a quiet spot, where you can take breakfast, overlooking the tourists wondering aimlessly below. Outside there are an abundance of plants and a clean crisp look to the house. If you are unsteady on your feet, there is a ramp to assist in the slight rising to the entrance. In addition if you are visiting and need a carer, Asli the owner, has a room with sleeping facilities to cater for your visit. And, for those of you who are taller than most, the guest beds comfortably fit guests who are 200cm tall! The room was clean and adequate in size. The bed was very comfortable, with linen that was fresh and clean. There are extra bedding bits should you require, as this is still winter in Cyprus. Breakfast is taken up stairs and we ate on a small balcony. The food was amazing; home made (even the jams, pickles, cakes etc). Basically, as long as you eat the food you may have as much as you ask for. Should you need to visit anywhere and have no form of transport, Asli will arrange a taxi for you. Whilst we were there a family of 3 were staying for 7 nights – lucky them. This guest house is well worth a visit; close to many attractions; in a quiet location and with attentive owners. One more thing, that really does make a difference. It was the only place we stayed in the whole of Cyprus (and there were a few) who had 2 ply thick toilet roll – thank goodness! We will hopefully be back again.
