This is a lovely place to be on the shores of Kielder Water. Parking and access is easy. Welcome is sincere and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble. Both our dinners and breakfast were well above average and served so nicely. My room was very acceptable, clean and with all amenities and a great view. My only problem is the bed (room 2). The mattress is worn out, no support and edges no spring left. So I slept poorly. Also had I been with my wife a 4'6" bed is a no no. This issue resolved and I'd stay here again any time, so should you!

What a fantastic find, we called in for a coffee at lunchtime and seeing the menu and how clean and professional it looked, we booked a table for our last evening in the area. We were not disappointed, the food was exceptionally good, efficient service and nothing felt rushed and we were made to feel very welcome. It is now on our list of where to stay or eat if we are in the area again, thank you for your hospitality.

We’ve just got back from our weekend away staying at the Pheasant for a family getaway and for a cycling event at Kielder, we had an absolutely amazing stay in the Garden Cottage- very well presented, clean and tidy and very comfortable for the whole weekend. The staff in the pub restaurant were amazing with our young baby at breakfast and dinner reservations, and the food was indeed top class too! Overall really enjoyed our weekend and would 100% recommend.

Lovely homely feel to the rooms, staff were very helpful and welcoming. Had one evening meal where we spent over 2 hours there for 3 courses as service wasn’t the fastest but luckily we weren’t in a hurry. Were told that it was due to large tables being in however 2 other tables of couples came and went whilst we were there. Food was lovely and seemed locally sourced.

Great hotel, brilliant location and fantastic service, food and bar. We had a tremendous weekend, walking at fielder Forrest and exploring the local villages. The Pheasant is a great hotel, well worth a visit. The ox cheek and lamb were incredibly good, recommended!

What a hidden gem this place is. Location is brilliant. 35 minute walk to Kielder Water. Not far from other walks too. The food was amazing - stunning actually. The rooms were small but lovely - bed was fantastic. We woke up and looked out over rolling hills. If you want to see Kielder stay here.

A good menu with delicious food; we both enjoyed our visit to The Pheasant Inn. The welcome was warm and this is clearly a popular pub. The food was freshly cooked and well presented; save some space for pudding too! A good location for anyone visiting Kielder Water and the observatory is approx 20 minutes up the road.

Had sunday lunch here today. Food was delicious. Had beef roast dinner and cheesecake and crumble puddings.and not a morsel left. Compliments to the chef. Staff all lovely too. Would recommend and would certainly return. Definitrly worth a visit.

Fabulous area. Wonderfully quiet in March, no doubt far busier later in the year. The hotel room was great for a couple. There was a set of bunk beds in the room, could imagine it being cramped with four people though. Very warm, very clean and comfy, the shower was excellent, very powerful! Lovely and homely warm fire in the restaurant. The food was wonderful, seemingly fresh to order, lots of options for evening and breakfast. The choice of ales wasn’t really a choice, i.e. just one - Landlord. I’d definitely go back to the hotel.
