We recently stayed at Merchants Manor for my husband's birthday and we cannot recommend them enough. Simon and the team were so friendly and kindly upgraded us to the lookout accommodation as a surprise. They went out of their way to provide thoughtful touches and we're extremely accommodating which made our weekend so memorable. The service was exceptional and we enjoyed a wonderful lunch in the restaurant. The manor itself is beautiful and it was lovely to hear about the history that has been upheld. We had a massage included as part of our offer which was also great. We will definitely be back to stay again.

I booked Merchants Manor as a special birthday celebration for my mum. Communication via email was excellent and Simon replied swiftly to my questions about the Manor. Initially I booked a balcony room and sunday slowdown. However due to the therapist being unwell, meaning we could not have our treatments, we were upgraded to the lookout. I had seen pictures of the look out online so was more than happy about the adjustment. We were beyond happy when we arrived at the manor, the lookout was beautiful and felt so luxurious! The manor itself was clean, smelt lovely and we both felt it had a lot to offer. Delicious breakfast and staff were so friendly, attentive and welcoming! Would definitely stay again!

First time visiting Falmouth for a 2 day break, and yes I would definitely go again. What a difference it makes by choosing an adult only Hotel. Peaceful & quiet. Quick and easy self check in. There was a slight issue with the room but we were swapped to a much better room there and then. The negatives : the bathtub does make an incredibly loud vibrating sound which was a little annoying & I do like having a fridge in the room and there wasn’t one! The food menu doesn’t have a lot of options, but fortunately, there’s plenty of places to eat in the town so that’s not too much bother. Simon was incredibly helpful and very accommodating. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The garden area is quite large, but we didn’t have enough sun to be able to sit outside! Access to the swimming pool, sauna and gym 7am-9pm. Great location, both the beach & town is a two minute drive or a 15 minute walk ish! Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay. I actually wanted to extend, but my partner had other plans but I will hopefully be retuning in the very near future.

We loved our stay in the hotel. The proximity to two train stations and to all the restaurants on High Street made it an ideal location. The breakfast and evenings at the bar were really comfortable and generous, the staff was perfect. DIY check in and check out, though less than appealing, is the way most hotels are working these days.

My wife and I wanted to pop out for a quick drink and headed to Merchants Manor which was nearest to us. We ordered a small red wine (125ml) half a larger shandy and some nuts. I know, last of the big spenders !! At least I thought so. The two drinks and nuts came to £19. I know I should have asked beforehand so probably my fault. But really it’s not as if we were in a top London hotel. The small (125ml) glass of red wine was £10. No wonder the bar was completely empty. We won’t be going back in a hurry. We did like the nuts so not all bad.

Great location for gardens and coast around Cornwall. Our first room was spacious, comfortable and spotless, although with a very limited view. The second room was just as nice but with the benefit of a balcony and sea view. The sitting room is very elegant and with the benefit of a roaring fire when we visited The breakfast is worth a visit on its own, we hade eggs royale and the shepherd's breakfast every day. The manager was welcoming and very helpful. We look forward to visiting again.

We visit Falmouth frequently and have stayed in most places. We did read some of the negative reviews before booking but having been here before weren’t particularly concerned. The hotel entrance is decorated beautifully and yes there is a self check in which I think is fine and a sensible economy . We booked a basic room which was absolutely what we expected . A very distant sea view , but clean and comfortable, lovely products in the bathroom . There was a very attentive staff member visible who gave us a lovely gift pack of Cornish water and fudge which we were glad of on the way home! Breakfast was good, nice to have a sourdough bread option ! All round this a good choice Falmouth stay ( for us only one night )

Stayed last April and had an amazing time for my partners birthday. The rooms were perfect and clean. The lounge and bar was really relaxing with great service from all the staff. The location was perfect to get to beach or the town and after a long day out nothing was better than to come back to pool and steam room to unwind. Would definitely come back and would recommend to anyone going to Cornwall
