Elk at Falls

We had the best time at Falls Creek. We loved staying at the Elk. Georgie and the team were very accommodating and so helpful from daily recommendations to baked treats. Would definitely come back and would highly recommend this fabulous location as a holiday spot!

Elk at Falls as always is the perfect place to stay. Jake, the onsite property manager is amazing and goes out of his way to ensure you have the best time. Usually ski in and ski out but with the unanticipated warm weather and no snow on the ground in the village, Elk at Falls was still the best place to stay to access the chairlift to cloud 9. Just rent from Halley's ski hire who can mind your gear overnight and there's no need to carry your gear uphill. Theses an onsite bar and restaurant so your après is covered too.

The location is great, only 2 minutes walking distance to the main lift. Manager Jake is a very nice guy, made our check in and check out smoothly. The heating facilities are great in the room, in particular for the snow wears. We had great dinner in their downstairs restaurant, also great service over there. We will definitely pick Elk next snow season.

The snow may have been average, but our lodgings at Elk in Apt1 were fantastic. Pre-arrival details & comms spot on, plus the door access codes. The over snow transport in the Elk mobile very handy. Host Jake very attentive to our requests. Thanks!

Well Done ELK. Communication was timely from initial From the moment the booking was made ELK were available, providing a seamless process from check in through the duration of stay and departure. Friendly staff in all areas of the lodge and the restaurant . Drying rooms were conveniently located on all levels , comfy bed and a an outdoor spa area to sooth tired muscles. “Apartment 3” , the cocktail bar was a great place to hangout after a day on the mountain and “Sorella” the fine dining restaurant run by locals was amazing.. ate there every night .. the variety on the menu well thought out to provide a culinary experience to remember. We got the apartment for 10 people and it was a squeeze. It was nice, definitely clean (except for down the sides of the bunk beds) when we arrived and the location was fantastic. Not too far from Haley’s comet chair. But, housecleaning is basically nonexistent. They only changed the bins everyday (and not everyday at that) First of all an apartment with 10 people doesn’t remain clean for very long and by day 3 the floor was dirty. If it is a self service apartment we wouldn’t mind at all but we had to catch a housekeeper the next day, request a vacuum which was dropped off (thank you) but with limited storage space it remained in the living area for the rest of the week. Also we ran out of dishwashing tablets. We were given 1 clean tea towel for the week (until we requested more) for 10 people!! Also it was super noisy. I slept in a top bunk and it sounded like elephants stampeding on top of my head at 11pm at night. Not to mention the noise coming through the windows. With all this to say we would stay here again. The apartment was nice and in a good location. But I think they need to decide whether they provide housekeeping or whether it’s a self service apartment and they need to make that clear because calling it “housekeeping” and only taking the bins was frustrating.
