Stayed for 2 nights (Friday and Saturday). A little worried when we pulled in late Friday afternoon, as there was only a few cars in the parking lot, and this place looked huge. As we started the check-in process, I asked if the pool was open. Response: No. I had booked this room 4-5 weeks prior and had called about the pool as the website listed it as closed. The lady on the phone at the time said it should be open in a week or two. I told the front desk people the indoor pool was a HUGE reason I booked this place in the first place (traveling with kids). They asked if I still wanted to check in. Reluctantly, I did, not wanting to try to find another place after traveling all day. All checked in, I asked for a luggage cart. Clerk pointed to this very small, almost triangle shaped "cart" that was about as big as 2 dollys. It held our heaviest stuff, we carried the rest. After taking the elevator up to the 2nd floor, we trekked down 4 long halls to our room (the place is basically one big square, with only 1 elevator that is outside basically room 201). Our room was at the far end of the 4th hall, room 285. The last hall ended with a staircase and no access joining the first and fourth hallways. I carried the "dolly" back down the stairs to avoid the incredibly long journey back through the hallways. And the hallways were warm and somewhat musty smelling. Talked with 2 groups of people near the lobby shortly after that, they had rooms without A/C and were waiting on new rooms. Two other groups of people that were also there in town for the graduation we came for also complained of warm rooms. One was offered a fan by the staff, only to then be told they were out. That room went and bought a fan themselves. My room was cool-ish, but the thermostat was set on 74 degrees. We turned it down and left for the evening, hoping it would be cooler when we returned. It was not. There was only a slight trickle of semi-cool air coming out of the vent. Luckily I had brought a fan and sleeping was doable. The room was clean and the sheets/pillow cases were bright white. As usual, we checked the beds for bedbugs, and none were found. Parking around the side of building to be close to our room, I noticed 2 large barrels (20 gallon?) near the side door, full of and overflowing what appeared to be discarded kitchen grease. Looking at the hotel from the side parking lot, you could see a couple of rooms with the curtains open and mattresses leaning up on the window from the inside. Breakfast was ok-ish, sausage, eggs, waffles, juice, and a couple bread choices. Overall, NOTHING like the pictures showed. I will definitely NOT be staying here again.
