I must express my disappointment in writing a negative review regarding our experience with Stafford House, as we were eagerly anticipating our stay. Unfortunately, inclement weather conditions resulted in the cancellation of our flight the day prior to the presidential inauguration, a situation that significantly affected many travelers and the inauguration itself. Despite our efforts to communicate with the owner through both phone and email, we were informed that the policy of the establishment does not permit refunds within 10 days of booking. While we acknowledge understanding the rationale behind such policies, we proposed the possibility of receiving a credit for future use. Regrettably, the owner was not open to this request and indicated that credits were not offered. It is reasonable to expect some degree of flexibility in circumstances where external factors, such as weather, are beyond a guest's control. Therefore, I felt it necessary to inform potential guests to be aware of the owners approach in similar situations.

Stayed there last night. Arrived about time it was to be available (2 pm). The proprietor met us outside and guided us in, she told us a bit about the house and asked why we were there, suggested places to eat and we did go to a very close place. She told us how to get to the venue and left us be. The room was super quiet and clean which was what you would want. When we got back, she greeted us, asked how it went then let us be if we didn't need anything. Next morning, she came in with a lovely fresh breakfast and she it was fresh and better than most restaurants. Never had such hospitality. Oh the shower was large, nice freestanding tub and Fluffy towels the way I buy my own. The bed was comfy. We left, seeing a nice kept garden as we left. I would recommend this to anyone. It was better than most hotels and honestly, to see a woman working it like that is inspiring. I used to be sketchy about B&B's. Reviews like mine are your friend. Make sure you do research so you get a good one like this. No complaints. Slightly busy road so be Careful going it as we drive past it a half a block but after we turned around we got it. Oh near lots of restaurants and shopping. Nearby access to Wolftrap (13 min up the road)

This is only our second time staying in a B&B and it did not disappoint in any way. The room was large and adorable. Beautifully vintage which I love. The bathroom... omg it's gorgeous. Huge walk in shower was amazing and a beautiful claw foot tub. Inset lighting above for ambiance if soaking. It's off a busy street....but you hear nothing!!!! Donna recommended restaurant and winery which a a perfect fit for us. Sat out on patio at night with coffee and relaxed. Slept amazing!!! To top it off an beyond amazing breakfast was delivered to our room so elegantly and was delicious. The little touches is what will make us not only come back but highly recommend to all our friends if they are in the area. Thank you so much for your hospitality.
